Rescue Me: The Complete Series 1-7 REGION 1 DVD Boxset £28.48 including shipping and import fees @ Amazon.com. A real gem of a series which for some unknown reason has never been fully released in the UK as they only released DVD Boxsets for Seasons 1, 2 and 3 in the UK. This deal is aimed at anyone who is able to play Region 1 DVD's (i.e. has a multi-region DVD player) as it is NOT a Region 2 DVD set.

The price for the set has dropped to $21.50 which is the lowest it has ever been on Amazon USA. It also works out a lot cheaper than buying the individual boxsets from the USA.

I've just ordered it and price was worked out as follows although please be aware there could be slight fluctuations due to exchange rates:

Item Cost $21.50 = £17.91
Shipping $6.98 = £5.82
Import Fees $5.70 = £4.75

TOTAL = £28.48

I agree that it's a great series and mystifying why it was never released in Europe

I know...cant understand why there has never been a full European release...hence the reason I'd been watching it on amazon.com for quite some time...the lowest it has been prior to this price drop was $24.99 for a very short period and then it went back up to $34.96 so had set a camelcamelcamel alert for $25 and was most surprised to get the notification that it had dropped to $21.50...just a shame about the shipping and import fees on top and the low dollar exchange rate at the moment but was still happy to pay under £30 for the full set...

Would have been tempted but still have some recordings from when it was on sky box sets

It was on netflix about 4 years ago for a while. Great show.

A lot of DVD players can be unlocked with a simple process , just search Google on now to make your make/model of DVD player region free. Blu-ray players on the otherhand are pretty much a lost cause for being unlocked

Cheap DVD players particularly are always likely to have unlock codes available. We picked up a cheap second hand Alba (easily a tenner or less) one just for the sake of having a region free player.
