About Resident Evil 3 PC
  • Resident Evil 3 is set amidst the nightmarish outbreak of the T-virus, a biological weapon developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella Corporation. The game marks the debut of Nemesis – a towering humanoid bioweapon designed for both brutality and high-functioning intelligence – whose dogged hunt of S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine made him an icon of the Resident Evil™ series. Armed with an arsenal of high-powered weaponry and wrapped in a black suit to hide his mutilated features, Nemesis will maim, pulverize or destroy any obstacle on the path to his target.
  • Jill’s harrowing escape takes place in the panic-stricken hours leading up to and following the events of the acclaimed best-selling Resident Evil 2. Intense combat and puzzle solving combine to deliver the heart-pounding final chapter of Raccoon City’s collapse
  • Complementing the action-packed single player campaign is Resident Evil Resistance, an asymmetrical 4 vs. 1 multiplayer game originally unveiled as a working title at Tokyo Game Show earlier this year. As the Mastermind behind the scenes, players can assume the role of key Resident Evil characters like Annette Birkin in a series of deadly experiments. Manipulate the environment and wield a deck of cards to place vicious creatures, set traps and weaponized security cameras to snare hapless Survivors. A first for the franchise, Masterminds can even directly control elite bioweapons like G-Birkin and Tyrant. In turn, four Survivors must effectively work together, making the most of a variety of weapons and each player’s unique special abilities, to stand a chance of escaping the experiment before time runs out.

Was really looking forward to this, had it pre-ordered from the same place (£32) but just cancelled it as heard too many negative things, whether it's the short game length, cut locations from the original game, reduced physx's and gore, the game being outsourced to a different development team than the ones who made the last remake etc

I'll pick it up when its around the £20 mark if the resistance game mode is any good and if not around the £15 mark for the campaign.

Thought exactly the same. Was so looking forward to it however the reviews have made me think no wait till it's cheaper.

And sat at 80 on metacritic. It’s not reviewing badly at all just from a couple of sources which is generally always the case. I can’t wait for this!
I would say if you have no interest in the online portion of this game (Resident Evil Resistance) then longevity could be something of a concern. The campaign runs 5-6 hours, maybe a touch longer depending on difficulty and playstyle, and there's aren't any additional modes after beating it beyond harder difficulties unlike Resident Evil 2's remake which had the various other playthroughs you could do with other characters. However, if you think you'll enjoy Resistance then this could be worth the £30-40 price. Judging from the beta Resident Evil Resistance has a lot of potential and some players may get quite a bit of enjoyment out of it especially with new content being added post launch. Definitely give the beta a go and see if it's something that'll add to the value of the game or not if you're on the fence.

That all being said, I really wish Resistance wasn't such a large part of this game. When they announced that it was apart of RE3 I thought it'd be a great little extra on top of everything else you get but the way it's turned out you're really paying equal amounts for both RE3 and RE Resistance which is a huge shame because there are plenty of fans who just aren't interesting in Resident Evil's online game modes and there's no way for them to buy this one without also having to buy Resistance.

Can you cancel preorders from CDkeys?
I have a feeling the price on this will tank accordingly. 5-6 hours is a tad short for a Resi game.

They're all that long, hell the originals has unlocks that require under 3 hour runs
Was stoked for this after the beaut that was RE2, but watched the ACG review and the short length and lack of replay ability kills it for me (at full price anyway)

Can't spell ignorant without ign.

I'm sure I'm gonna love the game, but it's just not worth the price. If it was 25 or so, I would not be able to resist. I'm 100% sure it's going to plummet in price very quickly, so I'll hold back my impulse to buy day 1.

Rule one never buy these games on release... same as borderlands.. which i never learn from! But in a few weeks time it will be 20 quid on cdkeys. Every damn time!!! Same happened with RE2 literally weeks saves you a 3rd of the price!
I'm in a conundrum. I got it for £32.99 on CDkeys pre-order and I do want to play it. Yeah, the drop will probably go to £29.99 after a few weeks. Then slowly drop from there.

I don't think it will be worth the few quid in refunding the pre-order now and then buying it a few weeks later for ~£29.99.
I'm a bit underwhelmed by what some are saying as well, I reckon it'll still be great just too short. Capcom are much better than they used to be, so perhaps they'll release some free sp content. Not much interest in the mp (no plus either) but might give it a try. My pre-order is £38 physical (ps4) so should be able to get my money back if I want.
When will keys release do we think?

Except for Pokémon because it has too much water.
