It’s getting mixed reviews due to lack of content and what’s there is heavily cut down from the original
The playthrough is around 5h, so will wait for a lower entry price point. It seems like a rush job, based on the cut content. Will give it a go, but not on release.

There is an achievement complete in less than 2hrs of in game play time. I've bought the game already. Only played few mins. But it seems alright.

Oh, yeah, cause original was packed with content 🤪

Getting that for around £35 on Xbox. Loved demo and I think it’s great reimagination of RE3. Could be better
I can see this droppping to sub £20 in a few weeks, RE3 is pretty short anyway and from the reviews that the consensus here as well, good but short and not as replayable as REmake 2

It’s not as replayable as RE2 by definition... eh... just research history or RE3 development.
I agree they could have added more content and fix mistakes of the original release and that was missed opportunity.
But RE3 was short and lacked in content! Period!
Have you had two characters to play with in original RE3?:)
Ehm... no!

The original RE3 took 6 and 1/2hrs to complete...
And average review score was around 8.
To expect more from remake is justified but sadly it did not happen.
Anyway, I want to see more RE remakes and Dino Crisis - hopefully they will keep them coming.
I shall wait till my birthday in May for RE3 remake and pick it up then for, hopefully much less:)
Had I spare money now and not beed on 80% of my salary, I would be all over RE3 at even £40 for Xbox as loved demo that much:)

Extra costumes, Mercenaries mode, different choices & endings?

No one would say it's a bad game but disappointing? Hell yea.
As others have said, the original had Mercenaries mode while this has a not particularly positively-enthused asymmetrical online mode, and they've cut some of the more iconic setpieces like the Gravedigger and the clock tower, removed the dynamic choice system and made Nemesis more of a recurring boss than a pursuer.

That said, I'm not super surprised since the remake A/B scenarios were basically identical unlike the original, and the original ideas they came up with were generally poor, i.e. the orphanage. They had a chance to take the brilliant concept of RE3: Nemesis and build upon it with 20 years of hindsight and technological advancement, and it sounds like they either took the rush option or the lazy option.
Guys im not the biggest RE fan but i loved the gameplay in RE2 ie the graphics smoothness story etc. I know people r saying its a little short in terms of story but is the gameplay as good as RE2? Please let me know can't decide if i should download
2 is like 12 quid now. 3 will be 12 quid too pretty quick. These games never hold value. 5 hours during this virus is not long. Can get a lot of good games for this money
The campaign definitely lasts longer than 5 hours. I beat it in 10, took my time with it, explored everything and all that
