If you've got some spare points and don't want to pay the rip off price for thrice ported version on PS4.

Scored 91/100 for Wii version (higher than PS4 version) on metacritics.

Blurbs:

Resident Evil 4 is one of the highest rated games on GameRankings.com and Metacritic.com, garnering dozens of awards and nominations. The game has been highly praised for its amazing gameplay and incredible, drastic re-invention of the Resi-created “survival-horror” genre. Resident Evil 4 now comes to the Wii with added Wii Remote support, allowing Resi fans to aim, fire, slash, reload, crank and avoid oncoming adversaries with intuitive motions and movements. With new intuitive controls, Resident Evil 4 is reborn on Wii as a whole new Resident Evil experience!

Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil 2, formerly Raccoon City Police Department’s idealistic rookie cop, is now a U.S. agent with a top-secret mission to rescue the President’s daughter, who has been kidnapped by a mysterious organization. In Resident Evil 4, Leon must begin his investigation with a trip to an undisclosed Spanish-speaking village in Europe, where he encounters a residing horde of unruly villagers who pledge their lives to Los Illuminados, the evil cult that perpetrated Ashley’s kidnapping. As Leon encounters unimaginable evil, he must find out who -- or what -- is behind everything.

Because I am a Sony fanboy myself and I am disappointed at the way they priced it. Don't be sensitive mate, all I meant was the price on the current gen console are a rip off.

The Wii control is the best way to play this game. Heated.

Have it on NGC and Wii already. No need to repurchase it once more as the graphics and gameplay are great on the NGC/Wii versions.

You can sure as hell expect Resident Evil 4 to also be re-re-re-re-re-re-reee-released on PS5 and Xbox Two.

Yea, the motion controls for aiming really made this version the best to play, does look a bit rough these days though.

Tried playing the Wii version with a Wii Classic Controller and the end result was a mess, imo. Just because it's compatible it shouldn't be played like that or better yet, Capcom should've just made it Wiimote + Nunchuk exclusive.

They are good but make it a bit easy so I recommend bumping up the difficulty

I remember the GameCube version looking really good & the ps4 version looks awful to me.

Seems I'll be the first to say "Aah, I bought it at a higher price!"

NGC's better for those that prefer to use a traditional controller and the graphics look really good. I can somewhat imagine how good the visuals look with the GameCube component but won't spend £150 on the damn cable. Wii Official Component Cable and Wii2HDMI are more than suffice, plus, there's also the Dolphin emulator for NGC/Wii games (Cemu for Wii U).

The clunky controls were deliberate to make the game more stressful, so you can't move and shoot at the same time.

You still can't move an shoot but headshots and targeting other weakspots on the Wii version were so much easier so it did make the game easier....didn't make Ashley any less annoying mind.

Out of all the formats I've got this game on I would say the Wii version is the best, the control system really fits the game well.

Don't say it's Wii U when it's Wii. That's misleading.

What is misleading? Just look at the picture then. Wii games are compatible with wii u so nothing is misleading really.

Having said that if you just have a Wii U you may not have the sensor bar and Wiimote so would you still be able to play it?

True, also if you have a PS4 and not a dual shock controller you can't play any game with it. This is my about hardware mate, the software compatibility is the subject.

True that, the whole argument however is pointless. I put the Nintendo wii first in my description followed by wii U. If you don't have sensor bar on your wii U and want to play the wii version on it, simply go and buy one. DS4 is included in every new console you buy but I don't want to start another pointless argument over it. The whole point was the title is correct, the person who is calling it misleading is having a wrong claim.

So that you could play on the telly. If you want to just use the GamePad as the screen, then you don't need a sensor bar.

Yes. When using the Wii U GamePad in Wii Mode, the Sensor Bar, located at the top of the Wii U GamePad, is turned on.

Yea, that makes sense although playing Wii games on the gamepad making sure you are far enough back to use the motion controls can't be the best way to play.

Yeah - logical to think so. It appears that Nintendo's recommended distance is between 1-3 feet so I guess it wouldn't be too detrimental.
