This is NOT a remake, this is a port or remaster. Remakes are completely rebuilt, reimagined and usually both. Compare the original Resident Evil 2 to the latest remake and the difference is night and day thanks to many years of development work. This is certainly not that. Please edit the title to reflect this misinformation.

Great price but a lot of people hate it - though I’m not sure why. I enjoyed it especially in co-op mode. True, it’s more action horror than survival horror but that didn’t bother me one bit
One game that when the word remake is written should also include re-writing the whole story!

The comp. Opposite of RE4 - super classic

Capcom been smashing it for Nintendo since SNES with SF2. and RE4 on GameCube

Have they made any genuinely new games? Seem to be living on their back catalogue (SF5 doesn't count)

I was also confused by this, as from the title I expected a similar treatment to the Resi 2 remake. However, to be fair, the title reflects exactly what the title is on the vendor website, so I'd say the problem lies there rather than with the post title.

Not voted either way. Good deal based on RRP but I think the vendor is over selling this and it ought to be titled remaster at best

I didn't click through but you're totally right, Base have got it totally wrong there - still think this should be updated. Real remakes (Shadow of the Collosus, RE2, Ratchet & Clank) deserve to be recognised as such for the work and effort put in compared to simple or lazy ports (they really vary in quality). There is even a hd port of a remake in Tomb Raider Anniversary, so I can understand why so many get it wrong, but I see false info so often on HUKD.

Monster Hunter World and Strider 2 spring to mind, though they're not original IPs.
Bought this and 4 and then they go to £6.49 on PS store
Can the word Remake be removed from the title for honesties sake
I liked this game a lot.
Whilst I wouldn't class this as a proper Resi game, I did thoroughly emjoy it.
More of a resi skinned action shooter than anything else

To be fair to Capcom they have tried a lot of new IPS over the previous generations, games like Ghost Trick on the DS, the Phoenix Wright series, Remember Me, Asura's Wrath, Dark Void plus a load of fighting games the haven't revisited. They are just avoiding any risks unfortunately.
I recently completed resident evil 6 on the ps 4 pro same price / same place:

base.com/buy…htm

Compared to the ps3 version that these are based on they offer an improved playing experience. 20 fps on the ps3 versus 60 fps on ps4. load times are also improved.
These should be classed as "Definitive" editions rather than anything.
Complete with any and all DLC etc.
I loved this game, it was the only RE game I have actually completed.
Isnt it cheaper on psn?
So glad they did a remake of this too!
