I saw this in a Manchester Blockbuster branch this afternoon. The game is either £12.95 on it's own or can also be bought as part of the 2 for £20 deal.

Not sure about the stocks nationwide but they had loads of copies for both formats in that store and it wasn't marked up as a 'deal of the week' either.

Pre-owned but to be perfectly honest any pre-owned game I have ever bought from there has always been in 'as new' condition.

Fair enough mate

to be honest - Blockbusters have history of selling 'New' games as pre-owned during these events.
My Gears of War 2 was opened in front of me so it could be sold as used. lol

Spark is right. Sometimes they are in a brand spanking new condition. I personally think sometimes they are new. Plus games play exactly the same whether they are pre-owned or not.

I think the Killzone 2 I bought from there for £9.95 earlier this year was definitely new anyway.

Worth a look if that's the case, cheers OP + heat

I went to my local and unfortunately in their pre-owned section they had the game with a 2 for £40 sticker on.
Upon asking the employee whether or not the sticker is accurate and hearing through the grapevine that it's 2 for £20 she simply said that the games eligible for the 2 for £20 are those which have been marked.

Would of been great if this was available at my local - oh well, good luck everybody.

That's what I mean, they are blatantly incompetent and it has been the cause of my arguments with them in the past.

With the recent weather I was in no mood to start an argument but could you suggest what I should do a deal opportunity like this happens again - ask them to actually scan the game on the system?

If the weather gets better tomorrow I may give it another try and a different local branch - for the time being only time will tell. Wish me luck!

If the tills are centralised, which I would imagine they are, then yeah scanning through the system should do the trick.
