Hey fellow Switch fans, i just purchased from the sale on the USA eshop both Resident Evil Revalaitons games for $13.99 each, approx £9.9 using eshop digital currency using the amazon usa trick, guides are online, I dont have time tonight to add full details how to set up, but hopefully someone can share, or you can google, how to buy games from usa for switch eshop, there may also be deals for the usa eshop credit to get even more money off.

Or just change your own account region and not mess about setting up multiple accounts.
Im also hoping the op made the spelling mistake as a nod to capcoms own blunder.

Once you buy foreign content can you use it on UK accounts? Are they ever gonna patch this and render stuff bought useless?
Yes you can buy and use on a UK account. I am not sure about any plans to patch this though.

You did it two different ways in the title and description.
No credit card will work with USA store will it?, and buying digital eshop cards you can't get the exact price, would you have to buy a $20 card?

I've bought PSN digital games of them before. But can't remember what I went through to set up an account and purchase (I believe I used my normal debit card, was a while ago I last used them).

Checked my billing info. Got some random USA address and using my Barclays card.

Or Pcgamesupply seems to be an easier way.

Eshop digital codes
Is what I searched.

Tumble stones is 6 bucks as well. Was going to grab this when it was around £8.50.
At $5.99 it's a steal.

Just stuck between which games to buy. Does revs 1 have raid mode?
Found revs 2 story line to be boring as sh** while revs 1 was a bit better.

Does it have the random loot rewards (guns, mods etc)?

Am tempted to do rev1 and tumblestone.
I switched my UK account region to US to purchase both Revelations 1 + 2 using US eShop credit. Do I lose the remaining credit left ($2) on my account if I switch back to the UK eShop?

Are you locked out of the UK region now and unable to switch back?

You don't lose it as such, but it doesn't transfer to your UK account, it will just stay on your USA account, so maybe it could be used for another sale in the future, thats up to you

It plays more like re4,5 and 6 with over the shoulder.
I found re7 fun for a while but then it went back down the silly storyline routes of 4 5 be 6.

I found revs 1 better than revs 2 (due to revs 2 having a stupid story).

Yes, you will. It tends to warn you before you switch your account back to the original region, but remaining credit will go.

I hope you haven't already done this. I just have and now my account is stuck on the US eShop. Unlike when moving around the Europe eShops you don't get the option to lose the credit on the US one.
WTF?! I've just tried, and yes I'm stuck on the US eShop as well now. How am I supposed to find something that will exactly use up the remaining $2.02? I can't link my Paypal and it won't accept my bank or Revolut cards.

These deals need to come with a big warning not to switch account regions for the US eShop in particular.

EDIT: Just got off a live chat with Nintendo US support, and they'll see if they can shift my account back to UK. You can try the same by going to en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app…295
Choose "Nintendo eShop & Downloads > Nintendo Switch > Accidental purchase or download" and a Chat Support icon should appear. If it doesn't show up, try going through the options again until it does (Chat hours are Monday - Sunday: 06:00 AM - 06:30 PM PST)

EDIT 2: Got my account reverted to UK. Here's the email:

Hello,

I wanted to let you know that the issue you recently contacted us about has been resolved. Please note that if you experience a similar situation in the future, we may not be able to assist you.

Sincerely,
Nintendo of America Inc.

I've also checked my balance and the remaining US credit is still showing on the account. So make sure you download all the games you want to play from the US eShop first before you contact Nintendo Support, as it looks like you won't ever be able to step back in again or you'll be stuck, possibly for good..

I've noticed that a lot of the games that are on sale in the American store will come on sale in the UK store the following week...at pretty much the same pricing. So may be better to wait.

Thank you so much. I'll give this a go when their opening hours come back around. Hopefully they'll do the same for me.

Update: They've changed my region too with the same warning as you. Phew.

I think people should create a seperate accounts that way you can flip back n forth as many times as you want, sure it’s inconvenient having serveral users to log into but then you can leave credit on and use it again in the future and not ring them up
