Resident Evil Super Bundle £26.99 for 10 games on PS3 @ Playstation PSN

Found 23rd Oct 2014
PSN has loads of deals on horror games just now for halloween, but this one stood out. Getting 10 Resi games for an amazing price including some of the new ones.

Resident Evil™ 1: Directors Cut
Resident Evil™ 2
Resident Evil™ 3: Nemesis
Resident Evil™ 4
Resident Evil™ 5 Gold Edition
Resident Evil™ 6
Resident Evil™ Code Veronica X
Resident Evil™: The Umbrella Chronicles
Resident Evil™: The Darkside Chronicles
Resident Evil™: Operation Raccoon City

Only thing that annoys me is it says that it includes every Resi game thats on PSN but it doesnt include the newest one, Revelations, assuming the description of the game is old. Just a warning.

Great deal!

Now why would they go ahead and miss out revelations?

Assuming its because its the newest, but like I said Revelations is there for still by far the best price I have seen it!

You can buy £35 credit for £30 and this will essentially be £21 with the money saved, approximately £2 PER GAME. You will have £8 remaining, too, for any future sales.

oooh nice! where do you get that from??

Bought a few of these last year when a similar sale was on but great price for the collection, great series. Nemesis was my fave "STARS!! STARS!!"

was also voted cold when it was £39.99/£33.99

amazing games. would buy this if I didn't already have too many games

4 & 5 are easily two of the best games I've ever played. Raccoon city is very different - though that's not really a bad thing.

6 sucked.

Actually Tesco have double staff discount this weekend so 20% off would be £28... does anyone know if Tesco staff discount applies to PSN cards etc?

It doesnt actually say on the description but 4 and Code Veronica were re-realsed as HD about a year or so ago and the 2 chronicles ones are listed as HD when you buy them separately so would assume they all are. Would doubt that 1, 2 and 3 are but couldnt say for sure.

I thought revelations sucked. I just completely reject the notion that it was Resi's return to proper survival horror. You're still a beefy (male)/impossibly toned(female), shiny action hero blasting mutants on a big ship. The story is still absurd, the controls are as clunky as they were in Resi 5, you bear NO affection for the characters and the voice acting/dialogue are AWFUL. The only thing it offers over Resi 5 is (arguably) a bit more 'atmosphere', but it's a veritable turd compared to 1 through 4.

Let's forget about Resi 6.

All about 2 and 4 for me.
Liked 1 a lot but holding out for that re-remake.

So which is the definitive one to play? 4?

It's so great being with o2 and PAYG. Top up £15 for free calls and texts to o2(which is all I do anyway), stick £10 of the credit into your PSN and still have a spare £5 for other networks. This just cost me £16.99 in my eyes. Thanks!

Buy it then make a complaints to psn support stating you expected to get Revelations included in the bundle since it wrongly advertises that it includes every resi game available on PSN, I bet at very minimum they offer you a partial refund.

I can't really answer that. My favourite is 3, simply because it was the first one I played, the one I've played the most and the graphics/mechanics by that point had been very well refined whilst retaining the pre-rendered scenes (which I personally like, even compared to more recent games), sense of fear/peril, puzzle-solving elements, menu/weapon customisation refinements etc.

The fan favourite is arguably 2, the most successful (and most critically acclaimed) is 4 but the hardcores would likely just advise you to play 1 first.

TL:DR 2, 3 or 4.

I think you meant to say number 1 and 2 ,as saying 4 and 5 would just be stupid

Thanks, time to clear some space methinks!

well 1 for me as I'm a original is usually better than the ones after films or games yeah if u want graphics surely the newer ones will deliver that but my thing is a good game is more than just gfx ie game play, story, and how long it takes to finish not so hard u give up but just before u do it gets u thinking

The new ones are so far removed from the old ones that they are almost a different genre.

If you want a more modern action style game then jump in with 4, which is definitive for its genre let alone franchise.

I would say 2 is the definitive old one, but only because the original is a little hokey and the others benefit from knowing the lore.

if i buy this on psn via the ps3, i then buy a ps4 ilater on at some point is it possible to download these to the ps4 and play them on the ps4?

no lmao,

because they will release it again at full price, so you can buy it all over again!

see how thoughtful they are?

I'm sure PS Now will be some subscription BS.

Voted cold. No Zero

Didn't know they released the Chronicles games on PS3, but this is some bundle especially in time for Halloween.
