Had been to Gamestation Union Street Glasgow and found this game reduced from 4.99 to 2.98. Good Price for an awesome game.

Ever wondered what would have happened if a rogue virus had warped the populaces of Russia and Europe, over-running the Eurasian land mass with a swarm of monstrous mutants by the 1950's? Sure you have! You sick, sick puppy...

Lucky for you, then, that Sony's Resistance: Fall of Man explores that exact scenario. With Europe and Asia brimming with nastiness, it falls to Britain and the United States to try and stem the tide of evil and save the day. To this end, you must step into the hard-worn boots of Sgt. Nathan Hale and take on the Chimera, armed with only your organic slime mine launcher and a heavy dose of grit. You'll join the frontline of the battle alongside the British as you work to uncover the secrets of the Chimera and of Hale himself. Oh, and you might want to shoot some things too.

At first glance, you might mistake this for a Call of Duty or Medal of Honor, what with the grim setting. At second glance there's not much chance of repeating the mistake. The Chimera come in a huge range of inhuman-type ugliness, and you'll be called upon to use a myriad of different tactics to take them down. Different tactics means a selection of weapons, and these range from sniper rifles that can slow down time, to cannons that whip out needle-like subsonic bolts.

If you fancy shooting the snot out of your friends, Resistance will give you the opportunity to do that, too. The game supports a massive online multiplayer option that allows up to 40 people to duke it out.

I bought this from a used on here last week, fantastic game even if it is a few years old now....

Bought yesterday from norwich, they had quite a few in stock

this game is underated and better than the sequel imho

Horrendous game...shocking if fact.

£2.90 over priced!

Give me Halo...anyday.

Give me Halo

I liked this game back in 2006.... but I remember it being stupidly hard at the beginning and then getting easier and easier which isn't a good trait in a game.

Poor game, just finished it and its dated a lot, the level design gets lazy at times - same textures used over and over the further in you get, the weapons are interesting but either overpowered or useless - just finding out which one works best, am about 30% of the way through the second game now and that looks a lot more up to date and plays a lot better - the AI is sharper and the weapons loadout is restricted to 2 weapons at any time not the 16 or so you had in the first game. I played through the first to follow the story into the second one and must admit it really was not worth it, save time and jump straight to the second one imho.
