Retention deal - 4Gb Data for £4 a month Virgin Media customers

£4£10 60% Virgin Media Deals

Found 20th Oct
I just got an offer from Virgin Media over the phone for either:
£4 - 4Gb 1500mins and unltd texts
£8 - 9Gb 1500mins and unltd texts
£10 - 40Gb 5000mins and unltd texts

These sim only deals seem to only apply to existing customers (I've been with Virgin Media for broadband and mobile for a couple years now) and might be available if you call them.
I thought that I should let people know because even for the 4Gb option most companies charge at least £10 per month.

I've been told that there is 1Gb of data rollover on the £4 option and you can use it abroad if you send a message to a certain number (e.g. 151). I purchased 3 sims and you cam keep your number if you get a PAC code from your previous network provider.

More details are here hotukdeals.com/dea…909

And 5gb here hotukdeals.com/dea…607

I'm in that boat. I just called them, and said a colleague had been offered it, and I wanted it too! I've had BB with them for years. I got this deal on friday last week.

It’s not available anymore

What happens if your not virgin media customer after few months, does your mobile monthly goes up or does it stays £4. ???

so in the end you was able to get this deal without any issues or does it seem to be a matter not being able to get it ?

I had no problem. The advisor went to speak to their manager, and came back saying yes. The SIM arrived 2 days ago.

I just called them and they said I need to have freestyle contract or have successfully paid 6 payments. She said that offer is not only for virgin broadband customers.
Definitely ice from me.

When you call tell them you were 'called out' with this offer and said you would think about it and have now decided to take it.

I can confirm this deal is available and is a 30 days rolling contract

I had 2500 min, 4g 4gb data for £4 per month with monthly roll over data

I am a Virgin Media customer , but dont have any mobile commitments with them. They didnt seem bothered about taking my Virgin Media details - so I guess from this , that the deal might be open to non customers. I got the deal above no problem - 4gb for £4. 3 other sims can be added to your order for family members. I did this as well , so I will be shortly be paying £16 via a standing order for the 4 sims. They will arrive in 3-5 days. The contract can be cancelled by giving 30 days notice after 14 days when cancelling is free of charge.

Just to confirm I got this too. 2 x £4 deals. Unfortunately they can't upgrade your current number with this offer

Can I ask, do these deals depend on what Broadband/ TV package you're on?

I was with VM for many years until I had an argument over a bill. I cancelled and renegotiated my contract but got rid of all the sports and films which I was never using. I have noticed that my bill has again crept up by over £10 since I negotiated and my 18 month contract is up in January.

I'm wondering could I negotiate my TV/ Broadband and then get something like this thrown in after I've set that price?

I certainly wouldn't want to get a deal like this and have to be paying for the top end broadband with sport and films.

Is this available to convert an in-contract sim only deal (also at £4 per month) to this? - For the additional data, or only if you are out of contract or looking for a new connection ?

Same here

Can you still transfer your existing number across, for example giffgaff to virgin media

Will this renew your contract with them? I have BB and think I'm out of contract.

This is posted elsewhere> If you're not a virgin media customer you will not get this deal. I had a PAYGO sim and they took all those details! They gave me 1,000 mins, ult texts, 1gb data as a retention deal for £4 a month.

I wanted this one for my wife but they would not give it to me! I used the one above for my mum. Any way to change account and direct debit in my mum's name?

Good deal

Is this 40gb at full speed or do they throttle you after you've used a fraction of the allowance

throttle. not full speed compared to ee

i pay a tenner for 4gb after haggling so i'm gonna try for this. the prices used to be good until a year or two ago, as i used to pay about £6 for "unlimited" aka 2gb data before the prices went up

Tried a few times and was told to get my a friend with their number and password to confirm the deal in order to offer it then they hung up.........

Anyone on a contract managed to get this.

?

1) Do Virgin offer WIFI calling? I'm on EE and my parents were on Plusnet and at most, I've only ever seen the signal on an iPhone get to 3/5 filled, with O2, I got 5/5 no problems.

2) What happens if/when I switch broadband providers, because isn't there a company that gives a discount if you're a broadband customer too and will hike up the mobile line rental if you leave broadband? It's probably Virgin Mobile, lol!

Virgin Mobile use EE network. You can set up a separate payment system unconnected with any Virgin Media account you have , so this can be cancelled independently I guess. You only need to give 30 days notice to cancel if you are unhappy.

I am with virgin media they asked me details and got 40GB deal for 10£
