I just called up EE to ask if I can switch my Contract (which is due to end 10 Jan) to a SIM Only plan early as I had seen an offer on Uswitch for 10GB, Unltd SMS & Mins for £17.99pm (usually £19.99pm).

The operator told me I was not allowed to do this until my contract ended as it was an online discount however told me I can switch to a 4GEE Max SIM 20GB 12 month Plan for only £15pm. Usually £25pm but currently offering a £10pm discount for the life of the contract.

I also get 5GB of additional data free and BT Sport for the life of the contract so to summarise I get:

25GB Data with uncapped speeds
Unlimited Mins
Unlimited SMS
15GB EU Roaming Data
Unlimited EU Mins
Unlimited EU SMS
Free BT Sport
£15 per month

I don't know how long the extra 5GB of data and £10 discount are going to last by my wife and brother have also just called switched to the same plan so get it while you can!

If you are on EE Call 150 and speak to the upgrade team to switch. I don't believe the deal is available online.

Called 2 times and they are only offering 20gb for £15. Gonna try the 3 deal with 30gb £18 and quidco £65 so around £12/13pm.

3 is terrible, I've just cancelled that deal with the signal being so bad. I even checked my postcode on there website and it would be good! When I rang to cancel they checked on there system and said I was in a bad signal area and to use WiFi to call people! I told them to jog on.
My friends EE is full signal here though

avoid 3

my three signal is rubbish also

Anyone else get this deal? I couldn't get a decent retention offer last week - they even offered to put me through to BT mobile when I asked for my PAC. I was expecting a call from the retentions team, but nothing...

I've been struggling to get any sort of deal for a iPhone 7 128gb phoned retentions twice and was offered nothing

@Seanybrowne - did you get this deal by upgrading or switching your price plan?

Yeah use wi-fi to call people BUT HOW DO THEY CALL YOU???
Will be leaving 3 as soon as my contract is up, maddening that I can't get a decent signal inside my house.

You know I never thought about that, I just assumed this app for WiFi calling would let people call you as well but now I think how can they lol.
They did try keeping me with them but shot themselves in the foot when they said I'm in an area with no reception. There actually website was where I checked before I got the sim and said I would have 4g coverage, so there misleading people

Is anyone else gonna call it..??

Just got the same retention deal last evening. Everything as described in the original post Just one remark - you only get 5GB of additional data free when you are on EE broadband or are moving to it as it is an EE broadband perk. Also I got it after calling them 3 times over the last one week and here is a small secret that people need to know to get it - they are not offering it themselves, but only give in on a "reverse inquiry" basis. In other words, a customer needs to tell them him/herself that has seen this offer and literally repeat everything that it includes (see the original post above). In such case, they are offering it, but don't expect that they would do the same proactively - they won't.

Thanks dm boss. Will give them a try in a sec and see where I get. Looking to upgrade i5 and i6s to a couple of 7's. Just don't want to pay 45.99 pm and pay for the phone which is what they've been trying to sell me on in the past.

Tried again to get this today. They flatly denied it is available to anyone. Again offered to transfer me to BT mobile, said that if I approached BT myself I would lose my existing number (a lie as it is legally transportable with a PAC) and also said the offers on the EE website were only for 'new' customers (when EE itself boasts existing customers get the same deal as new customers). I really hate everything about EE and if it wasn't for the signal where I live I would leave them in a heartbeat.

Yeah.. so I didn't manage much better with retentions myself. Denied any knowledge of such a deal (£15 4GEE Max) even after citing that various individuals and their family members have signed up to such a deal within the last couple of days. Best I could get was £50.99 a month for 4GEE Max on a 32gb iphone7 with £49.99 upfront (reduced it to 19.99 after asking them to speak to a manager to see what more could be done). Absolute garbage deal tbh.. anyone can walk in off the street and get that.

So much for all this 'we see you've been a loyal customer' and 'loyalty bonus if you upgrade' tosh they give me whenever I call.

Been with orange since 1996, always upgraded and always been on top plans. Have 2 contracts, a sharer sim (3rd phone) EE broadband and took out Mi-Fi package earlier this year to booot and that's the best they could come up with - a £30 reduction on the upfront handset cost. They're so cack. Gone are the good old days when Orange used to throw you everything under the sun with minimal fuss. This EE lot are tighter than a camels backside in a sandstorm...

I have the T-Mobile full monty unlimited data (tethering allowed, no cap, no fair use) unlimited calls and texts. I think the problem may be T-Mobile and Orange (in your case). They don't consider us EE customers (even though they keep telling us we are) and they don't want us. BT (who own EE) have decided they will migrate as many customers as possible to BT Mobile and eventually kill Orange and T-Mobile brands as they can't sustain 5 mobile brands (Plusnet, EE, Orange, T-Mobile). Eventually BT will kill EE too. Anyway I think there will be some deals in the Boxing Day, New Year sales and 15gb for £15 should easily be possible then, probably with BT Mobile.

I think you're right re. BT's gameplan. T-mobile and Orange are already well on their way to being phased out. One just keeps swallowing up the other - Orange buys T-mobile, EE buys Orange, BT buys EE.... I am an EE customer officially (not like that seems to bear any weight), as when they rolled out 4G I migrated over from Orange. The reason being they said that 4G is not available on Orange so if I wanted it, I had to sign up with EE.

Generally my gut feeling was that waiting till after Christmas would garnish some better deals. Right now a lot of extra people will be looking for phones/contracts/upgrades for their nearest and dearest. I'll wait till the fanfare dies down a bit and I'm sure there will be slightly better offers on the table. Just wanted to prod them a bit and see how good a deal I could get. If it was good enough I'd have bitten but there's nothing great to see here. Worst case, if they're not going to budge then I think the best thing for me is to upgrade to the 4GEE Max (sim only) at £25 as it includes an extra 5gb data, EU roaming/calls/sms and BT Sport (which I'm neither here nor there about) for the same price as I'm paying right now for 20gb and no EU bonuses/BT Sport. Still, I'd rather be paying 15..

Just so you know people can call you when you are using Wiifi Calling

I called them today and quoted the deal 25 quid for 20GB. Coupled with 10 quid discount and 5GB extra data resulting in a net cost of 15 GBP for 25GB of data. They refused to give me an extra line but all the same more heat

So was I it took me like 8 calls to eventually get this deal it suppose to be a lot more a month but I got £15 loyalty discount for complaining about how they treating me not giving me no good deal for years of staying loyal to them and the last person I spoke to went to a manager come back and offered me the deal I stated by app laying a £15 discount but they want £230 upfront cost but seen as I was a loyal customer they waved that but said if I sent it back they would not be able to offer me this deal again was a manager special

Keep trying I had to keep ring back and back then a nice man sorted my deal out

Anyone with a loyalty discount interested in this plan should call the service team on 150 (options 1,2,1,2) and ask to switch to this plan. On my previous sim only plan, I had £15 loyalty discount and 3GB additional data which i've managed to keep by switching to the new plan. I'm now getting the 4GEE Max SIM plan with 23GB + BT sport for £10 per month. I was refused the option to switch to this plan by an advisor, called back 5 mins later and spoke to another advisor who was happy to switch my plan.

Hmm have to try. I can upgrade early on 25th

The deal expires on the 17th

Definitely HOT. I received this after missing out on the black Friday deal / everything same apart from data which was 30gb instead of 25 and price was £16(x)pence.

Just got this deal with EE, made 4 calls to EE in last few weeks to try and get a deal and best deal they had offered me previously was £10GB data and unlimited mins / txts for £20.

Shocked that when i tell them i want this deal they give it straight away:

£15.00 pm
20GB for £25, EE Max plan:
unlimited mins, incl EU
unlimited text, incl EU
15GB data in EU
£10 loyalty applied, brings to £15.

Makes me wonder, should i have asked for more!

The discounts that are being offered by EE agents seem to be so random. I spoke to someone in the retention team who said he could not offer me any discount on the £25 plan and was happy to give me my PAC code. Called them again a few mins later and another agent gave me the £10 discount on 2 lines to £15 per month for family members.

Also felt I should have asked for more.

One thing the agent mentioned is that the loyalty discount is for 12 months only unlike their old loyalty discounts which stay on till you upgrade.

Cheers for letting us know. I WILL keep trying. Rang 3 times up to now and no movement on £25 sim-only price and poor retention deals on iPhone7 upgrade/s (x2). I've tried every trick in the book and they're just not having it. Still shopping around but pound for pound they are the best network to be with. I'd be happy with paying £15 for my line, getting a shared sim for 'er in doors and buying a couple of phones outright. Save a fortune in the long run. £50.99 a month and £20 upfront?? That's more than £1200 over the term ffs vs. £900 with this £15 sim deal and handset bought upfront. Actually, £1020 if the loyalty discount is only for 12m, but still. Just want to get the goddamn sim first, then I'm good

If you already have a loyalty discount on your account, the other option is to request to switch your plan to the sim only plan. This way you'll keep your discount and move to the plan you want.

The plan switch is managed by the normal service team. Like retention you may get an agent who could say it is not possible without upgrading which is untrue because I managed to do it last week a few mins after being told it is not possible. Managed to switch my plan and keep my £15 discount. Good luck

Thing is I'm on a 20gb sim-only already. (Wanted to stretch it out for an extra year so I can be on the cusp of a new gen. iPhone rather than my upgrade due date always being on the cusp of an 'S' version, so I knocked my plan down to a sim-only for 12 months with a view to getting the 7 when it came out - just not overly impressed with the 7 tbh hence why I'm not killing myself to upgrade on contract unless the deal is right).

No loyalty discount at the moment either, in fact I've not had one since being with EE. On orange I had 15% off line rental and £10 off each bill for as long as I could remember but all that fell off with the switch to EE in early 2013.

I'll just keep pestering the hell out of them. Actually, right now seems like the perfect time.

Finally got it!

The reason being, apparently, because I'm already on a 20gb sim-only plan it doesn't show any other 20gb plans that are eligible to be switched to?? (Yeah.. makes no sense to me either, when I've highlighted the said deal and still being told that no discount is applicable on this plan). The helpful chap said he would 'build the deal manually' and so he did. 4GEE Max Plan for £15 p.m. for the next 12 months.

Persistence is key, and also luck of the draw of speaking to an advisor who wants to play ball. Took me 5 calls to get it.
