[Retention deal] Sky Q 2TB Box, Minibox & Multiroom - £30 installation + Your sky package + £12 multiroom a month

I've just called Sky to ask about Sky Q, last month they were asking for £115 for installation and £12 a month for multiroom, they just offered me a 2TB box with another minibox for £30 installation and £12 a month extra. It won't be installed until the end of January but for £85 less you can't complain.

So far the best offer i have seen was the black friday with free installationIs there any way they can install SKY Q with another dish? I rather not lose my current freesat sky points which i would if they change the dish to SKY Q 😡

If you take Sky Q you can ask for them to fit a hybrid LNB for your dish. It uses the same sky dish but you can keep using the old sky boxes for freeview or freesat. Some sky agents will say they don't know about it but our neighbours have had one at no extra charge and I'm getting one beginning of January as part of Sky Q installation.

What are the t&c’s for this?

All info I have previously read is that the upgrade is on an 18month contract. When I called and spoke to someone about upgrading a while back they’d honour the discount I had but only for the remaining months it had to run (ie. I’d be paying full price for most of the contract).
I'm getting the 2tb box installed tomorrow for £15

Prepare for cold votes on this, posted similar last month with box sets bundle, sky Q 2tb, minibox and multiroom and pay as you talk for £55 per month and only £15 installation and it got chilly as people want to pay nothing.
i was offered sky q for free but can only get 14mbs speed sky fiber broadband so not bothered for now
I had this offered to me a while back, but there is a catch. You need to also purchase the sky q channels subscription which is more than the normal hd, they wouldn't discount that! That's where they make all there money right!

I've had to take an 18 month contract but they have kept my box set price at £19 a month for the whole contract.

Yeah I was looking at sky sports and boxset the whole lot, was offered 30%, wouldnt give me the 50%
Why only 2tb, Sky. Come on. Have 4tb across two HD boxes now. 2tb is a downgrade.

I got the box sets for £13pm last week. Go on chat that seems to be the place to do deals

Box sets for 12 months at £8.00 per month :-)

My tactic...

Cancel sky (turn down their generous £30 offer)
2 days into Freesat living, receive call from sky asking if I missed them?
- Turned down even more generous offer of £22 per month
- Asked what I would be willing to pay, and said £5.00 :-)
- They counter offered £8. happy days.

where i live we use a shared dish for the block of flats. for us they do not change the dish only the little splitter box (there all the cable slipt off to each flat) to everyone can update to Sky Q if they wish or stay on sky HD, or they can put a box on my line only so only i get skyQ (old sky HD will also still work)

When did you get this deal?

I think it was September.... not too long ago. It could have been an end of week/month and they had numbers to hit at a guess.
If existing customer, free box and install but plus £12 for multi room has been the standard offer for well over a year now.
I got sky q for free
Note to self - Don't post deals for Sky even if you think they are good as it gets awfully chilly in here

I might be wrong but I seem to recall there might be a requirement to apply for planning permission to have two or more satellite dishes on a property.

Update: Appears that it depends on council but definitely no more than two antennas on a property (my local council only allows one).

I got Sky Q for free when I rung up to cancel in November but had to pay £25 installation,

Had to take multiroom but cancelled instantly, just can’t watch the 4K content.

Also got 75% off subscription, so £23 a month for all channels.
Anyone got a good deal on everything on old Sky+HD box(boxsets, sports hd,cinema, kids etc.) ??

I have tried a couple of times and have never been offered that. Would snap their hands off. The Black Friday deal offered free installation for the main bx but you still had to pat £50 installation for the mini box. Could be because I get a 67% discount on my TV subscription and they know that I am unlikely to walk away from that.

Thanks, my friends contract is ending soon, that gives him a good guide to what he should be paying........thanks

Not in my experience. Out of contract for a while now so went on live chat for a good 45mins, but they simply wouldn't budge on a free box or free installation.

Told them to go ahead and cancel - didn't hear back during the month, so uncancelled day before due date.
£48 best retention offer on full SkyQ in HD

I’ve been told once my months notice is up they will send out a box for me to return the box in- anyone had this? I know the Sky Q box is rented and not my property, so does that mean the best retention deals are for those with none Sky Q equipment?
Already having a 2TB non sky Q box i refuse to pay for this new type of box.

Renewed yesterday for £28 - Family Pack (Kids/discovery etc) & Sky F1 channel all in glorious HD, lol

The offer has always been you must take the multi room or they charge a fair bit for both box and install. Loads of people have posted this in previous deals and it's appeared in the MySky app now too.

Won't take them up on it if it's not properly free as it doesn't really give anything worthwhile over the old boxes which for some reason they keep improving and both still only do 1080i. Very strange way to push a new product!

Yes they did with me I've got 3 months to return or they charge me for the equipment.

Ah right! Person on chat never even brought that up. Was given an offer on Sky Fibre and an additional package (unable to recall the price, think package was Documentaries or Box Sets), but didn't feel it was a good enough offer to be locked into an 18month contract.

Only really wanted the new box so we could record more than two program's at the same time without having to watch one live. which happens on the odd occasion.
If you have the sky app (My Sky) you get deals on there depending how long you have been with them. I have been with Sky 15+ years and got 1 Main Sky Q 2TB box with a multi-room box with free installation and free boxes. I pay £12 extra per month

Be aware that even though it says the box is wireless this is not true as they replace your dish and the main box still requires the double aerial cable to be connected. It is only wireless to the 2nd box

Spoke to sky earlier £50.40 full pack with hd on retention for the year (I have Q) which is apparently 40% off. Best they will do
