(Retention Deal) Sky Unlimited Broadband £120 a year including Line Rental

26
Found 2nd Oct
just managed to get a new deal from sky, free line rental + £10 per month for adsl unlimited broadband.
total cost for the year £120 inc line rental and broadband

basically place an order with another provider and wait until the next day, ring sky to change your talk package, they won't be able to as it will be pending a transfer

call 0333 759 3511 they will then ask you who you're moving to etc, don't tell them who, just say it was a lot cheaper than sky after a prepaid mastercard

they should then offer you free line rental and £10 a month broadband

don't settle for £3.99 off your line rental plus free broadband as that will work out at £15 a month instead of the £10 a month.

hope this helps anyone looking to renew following the last mse sky bb offer

Hope you have enough data on your phone ? 🖤

Its unfortunate a trend in this forum that anything regarding Sky, Apple(can see s change in attitude now), Virgin etc to co cold default. Guys, just evaluate each deal posted based on its merit alone. This seems to be a good deal to me.

tried this and fabulously failed..even got switched off!!¬!!,, had to rejoin..
bum of a deal.. partner has a business now got an old phone number on the van and buinsess cards with wrong phone number on as sky changed the bugger....
advise don't wait till last minute hoping for an amazing deal I failed !!!!

It's a deserved trend.
Sky has gone from being top value offering customers who are willing to make a bit of effort for a deal - get a good one, to now offering absolutely nothing at all.
£10 off their full price for customer who have been with them for 10 years plus etc.
No thanks.

This deal only offered to the lucky ones, that used to be anyone that could pick up a phone, hence the cold votes, but deserved regardless due to their complacency with customer base.

Virgin are just a scam with ridiculous throttling.

Apple....well that's off topic.

Friday last I got the rentention deal of 18.99 x 12 months. Mine is not as good as yours but I am tired of going back to sky again and again. I am with sky for 15 years, at times I feel like **** with them but I have no better place to go. No fibre in my area, all other service providers have worst reviews when it comes to adsl performance, at least I get 4mb continuous service with sky

Can I ask, do you have sky tv too?

Sky, British Gas, Virgin ,BT, ..These big corporates rely on people not willing to change when the deal ends that's how they make their money, Nothing for the loyal customers

It's hit and miss. Was with sky four years and said I was leaving and they never offered any deal. Just normal price. So I left to BT? During the line transfer process I get a call from Sky retention offering free phone rental, Sky TV entertainment package with sky Q box for £7.49 and sky unlimited broadband for £10. All in £17.49 per month. I jumped at the deal but big hassle leaving and then having to cancel BT order. They should offer same retention deals to everyone

It is a "backup" 2nd line. Not necessary but good if we have it. Now we don't

Lucky you, my retention was offered at £55 inc. basic TV and they seemed surprised when I said no

Mine took multiple phonecalls, and I went through the process of giving the 30day notice to cancel the line. The deals I eventually got (which were negotiated completely independent of each other, with different teams on different days) were:

TV:

Boxsets package half price for (up to) twelve months £19 instead of £38, but with no minimum contract (can cancel with 30 days notice).

Broadband:

Free line rental for 12months, £10 broadband.

So I'm paying £29 per month, which is 1p per month more than I was paying for the same stuff before.

This DID take multiple attempts. It wasn't easy at all. But it is worth sticking at it. I think the call centre staff genuinely do see different offers on their screens from each other.

The bloke who sorted my £10 broadband (this deal), said that it is only available for customers who have put in a request to cancel their line. (I.e. not those with an active line, which is what is required to do an active line transfer to another provider). The reason he offered it to me was that I had done this earlier in the process, but then undone it later after the retention team failed to woo me, so that I could do an active line transfer to talktalk.

Hot deal. Perseverance is key.

The retentions team is quite pathetic! They are blunt and don't offer anything of value!

Been on unlimited fibre and line rental for £10 a month for the last 14 months now.
A few weeks before the 12 months was up on the existing deal, we got a letter saying they had extended it for a further 12 months.
Happy days.

I just rang to change my talk package and got offered a further £2.50 off a month if I commit to a new 12 month term.

So now I will only be paying £7.50 a month with free line rental.

£90 for the year.
