Yes I agree, don't buy anything from Sainsbury either. I bought a tin of soup which tasted foul. I've never stepped in a Sainsbury since.

Indeed, Matthat!

These are short range radios. If you want a long range UHF radio, then take the Amateur Radio exam.

Take these toys a couple of hundred metres ASL and you'll get reasonable range.

VHF/UHF FM, = line of sight. The half watt power output, but more importantly, antenna which comes with this radio, is restricted, to comply with their license free status. BTW, changing the antenna would make this radio illegal.

Therefore, most of the time, a user in a city can expect a few hundred metres or less.

Long range radios, they certainly are not....So cold fom me...
