Back in the day bought the 2600 counsel from WH Smiths for £130 and Asteriods cost me another £33 - this must be a bargain. Still got the original sat in the loft!!

Maybe some people like it?
I had the 2600, so it crossed my mind to give it a go but then remembered how most of the games have no end just get harder and no game save. I think this would do my head in these days.

Might be, but for the £ and the rubbish, nostagic graphics of this resolution, think this is better... after all, 360dpi was HD back then!!
Sweet - pure nostalgia here I say

Resolution is shocking! And I still have my original Atari 2600.
Go HD

Does this version come with Ray Tracing?
It’s a shame they couldn’t have stuck with switches instead of the tacky buttons, would have bought either version otherwise

Better yet, no frame buffer.

No but it comes with something far more advanced...

Frogger!

Got rid of my none working one on eBay a while back. Glad I did as they now go for little I assume because of these
Yes, I remember buying Asteroids from Argos. Couldn't wait to get home and wasn't disappointed. Loved and played it to death. Great memories. I think my collection ended up with a load of Activision carts in the end. Loved Kaboom! And Demon Attack. Great days.
Me and me brother saved our paper round money for a year to but console for £99 from woolworths. space invaders was extra.

Yea because all the games are in 4K.
Page 219: issuu.com/ret…mer. Console was £100, £380 in 2019 money, games started at £15.49, £59 in 2019.

It's called 'HD' version. It has more games and wireless controllers.
Hence " HD version not better for 10 quid more"
Who mentioned anything about high def picture quality.

Not really, it's because millions were made and you can still get an original very easily.
Me, my Brother and our friends had physical fights over Tank Battle.

Maybe they do? But I still don't understand why. It's not my £20 though so they can crack on with it
$25 is a pretty good price for a console and 105 games that show the early history of video games
Are these joysticks USB ones, or is this a classic 9 pins?
But.... can it run crisis?
Does it have ET, it was a brilliant game

A little, but worth it for the nostalgia element. I loved playing Space Invaders again.

Well worth it IMHO, I have got the value out of it, and my daughters love it too, I think they enjoyed the simplicity of it. Frogger and Space Invaders were their favourites, along with Hero.

Sure. I can see the attraction for young children.

Indeed, lego (maybe even go far as to say duplo) graphics look much better in HD..

Remember getting our Atari with Phoenix, still got pacman and combat cartridges somewhere, but the console broke years ago.
