Turn off v-sync might help. (If using an emulator)
Why would anyone be using an emulator on an original megadrive
Why would you get an input lag on an original megadrive.
Google the issue.. you will see all the related issues are for emulators.
This deal/product is for a controller to use with the original Mega Drive. It is not USB.
TV Settings might be causing it if on a HD TV with some upscaler solution (or even if just to scart) - Turn off all the smoothing/film mode/etc., nonsense and it could improve - but a controller wouldn't improve the lag if that's the cause.
I answered someone's question about input lag.
I'm fully aware what the deal is for.
Maybe you need to read the comments more carefully on who asked what before jumping in. :/

This is an excellent price.
Its tricky finding first party 6-button megadrive controllers under £25ish on ebay it seems. I was lucky and found an original in a retro gaming event for £6 ~2 years ago - I also got a retrobit 6 button a few months prior to that at full price on Amazon. Its pretty nearly identical in look and feel. The only minor complaint was that the dpad centre spike was too short and allows for pressing all 4 buttons, but I barely found that happening, and its easy enough to modify/fix.
You could even gut one of these and put a bluetooth 8bitDo DIY board inside (which I've done).
