Kids these days don't know what it's like to have played with one of them or blow into a cartridge hahaha

Good price, voted hot

Might be worth mentioning in the title this is an 8Bitdo rather than a generic pad.

This is a brilliant controller, I use it with the Amazon fire TV using the mega drive and SNES emulators and it works perfectly.
Games from the late 80s to early 90s are timeless, certainly games from the mega drive and SNES hold up pretty well and even kids of today enjoy them. I do remember having to blow the cartridges lol.

Agreed. 8bitdo are quality and well known for it. I've got the SF30 Pro coming soon for the Switch (as it has extra switch specific buttons) and it reviews very well.

Does it have motion control? Need a pad for my switch that is on the way

I got my SF30 Pro delivered on Christmas Eve, it's excellent. Love the sticks.
Will it work on xbox 360 ? or steam on Win 10 ? thanks
Great price! Asked for one for Christmas but didn't get one, and now I'm glad I didn't because I would have felt bad if someone in my family paid £30 for one and then it was available for half that 4 days later. Already got the Zero that I use with my Raspberry Pi but it's a bit small for me and this will work with my Switch as well so perfect deal.

Xbox 360, no, as they don't have Bluetooth.
Windows 10, yes, if your PC has Bluetooth.

Cost me £13.03 as new account had 150 points.
Appears to now be £26 after 10% and D points reduction. Not bought!
Paid £13.03 with the XMAS10 code, plus used the free 150 D Points they give you on signing up. Thanks OP!

You're supposed to be using code XMAS10 to take almost 50% off, not the 10% code you get for signing up.
Got mine for £15.61 with XMAS10 code which is still a decent price. I already have one I use with my retron 5 this will be perfect for player 2
Pretty sure it doesn’t do IOS, but wish it did

Not sure why you're so sure because it is iOS compatible.

Great price. Never seen them this cheap.

I was surprised to see iOS in the title as well. It would need to be MFI certified to work with iOS. I saw a review on YouTube that confirmed it isn’t iOS compatible, has anybody managed to make it work? It doesn’t even mention iOS in the description.

Regardless, hot and I bought one. Thanks OP, was looking for something like this!

It doesn't mention iOS support in the description on Dresslily but, come on, it's a clothing website - what do they know about controllers? Why are they even selling this? Who cares as long as it's 50% off!

But iOS support is mentioned in the description on many other websites that are selling this controller, as well as the manual. It is not MFi compatible but it is iCade compatible, which does mean that it would only work with a limited number of games, but it can also connect as a Bluetooth keyboard and then you can map the controller buttons to whichever keyboard keys you want - there is an app for it in the AppStore and I'm guessing the purpose of that is to map the controls to an MFi profile. If not, there are other apps that can do that for you, such as VirtualGameController.

I don't know what YouTube video you've seen that says it isn't compatible, but I've seen several that show that it and/or other similar 8Bitdo controllers working with iOS.

The code has been used too many times now, showing £30 for me
This is compatible with iOS with a firmware downgrade available from the 8bitdo website (it’s recognised as a Bluetooth keyboard, not an MFI gamepad). If you want to use it with your Switch, though, you’ll have to install the newer firmware.

Note that even with the old firmware the pad isn’t recognised by the Sega Forever series of free-to-play Megadrive games, which is a bit of a bummer.

£15 or less is a bargain for one of these. It’s an incredible pad! It doesn’t have motion or rumble (get the SF30 Pro for that), it’s simply a Bluetooth SNES pad, but the build quality is very good. Excellent for retro gaming.

What's the original price?

£29.99, so £24 after discount. Coming from China, of course at this price, but I am in no rush. Listing looks genuine, but no problems if not - it will be resolved via Paypal etc, but feedback looks good.
WARNING guys, the site has very sketchy feedback.

Ensure you're paying by PayPal or Credit Card if you purchase.

It did expire - was giving a message saying it had hit its usage limit or something. Guess they reset it or something!
