This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I would say excellent price for a retro boom box. Cheapest around at the minute and still available at many Menkind outlets.

  • It’s a retro, cassette-playing boombox!
  • Plays your old cassettes and streams via Bluetooth
  • Fitted with FM, MW, and SW band radio
  • Has the classic analogue tuning and telescopic aerial
  • Fresher than the Prince of Bel Air!
  • Requires 4 x D 1.5V batteries (not included)
  • Measures approx. 31 cm x 11 cm x 9 cm
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth V4.1
  • FM band: 88MHz-108MHz
  • MW band: 530KHz-1600KHz
  • SW band: 3.0MHz-23.0MHz
  • Media ports: Cassette tape deck, USB, SD/MMC
  • Aux: 3.5mm headphone port

So, you’ve got a bunch of old tape albums, mix tapes, and cassettes featuring recordings of you pretending to be a radio DJ. And, you think that, like an ‘80s one-hit wonder, they’ll never reach human ears again? Well, thanks to this Bluetooth Cassette Boombox, they’re coming back like… well, tapes!

Featuring a retro design that’s as ‘80s as neon baggy trousers, shoulder pads, and perms, this retro cassette boombox can play all of your old tapes. But, just in case you’re in the mood for a musician that isn’t hipster enough to release their music on cassette, you can also stream music directly to the boombox via Bluetooth! Oh, and it’ll let you play music off SD/MMC cards and USB, too!

This boombox runs off mains power (and has a mains lead included). But, it can also run on 4 x D batteries, making it totally portable. So, feel free to load it with hip-hop, throw it on your shoulder, and walk with a limp down graffiti-covered alleys. Yeah, now that’s baller.

You might not have a time-travelling DeLorean, but you can totally go back to the glory days of cassettes with this Retro Cassette Boombox! Order yours today!

Watch the Retromoan review of these on YouTube.
The packaging is worth more (and more useful) then these.
Terrible sound. You wouldn't use it any more then once.

Does it still guzzle D cells at a rate of knots?
These are identical to the ones Aldi sold. They're quite fun but on the whole, not very good. The sound quality from the tape is poor and audio output is MONO. The tape drive ate two of my older tapes so I wouldn't recommend at all.

As a cheap novelty thing it's ok, but I'd recommend you steer clear.

You mean Techmoan?
Had something similar in the 80s by Saisho. The speakers were all midrange there was no real treble or bass. It made very good tape copies, though.
I bought one of these from Ebay £14.99 for the garden last year after my Sony unit packed in after 2 months. The best £14.99 I`ve ever spent! I use it with my loaded USB on mains power and its been great. Not the best sound but for the price it is still decent enough for the garden and fairly loud. Dont let negative reviews put you off.

Looks like an expensive piece of scrap to me. I would spend a bit more on a quality Bluetooth speaker rather than buying this pile.

Why wouldn't you just buy a bluetooth speaker that isn't terrible?
They should do one that requires 20 D Energiser

I never thought I'd say this but that Saisho would have been far superior to this crap!
This really is bad, mono sound (how, just how?!!) -
Looks cool, but if it sounds as bad as they did back in the day, it's no good

Yep, I've been trying for ages now to get hold of some dbx vinyl.
Why do they spend so much on the look and compatibility of these (which is really cool!) But then scrimp so much on the actual sound quality?! Does my head in, sounds awful
got a tdk chrome tape from a charity shop the other day, just 50p

will tape over it using my aiwa cassette deck puchased for a tenner from another charity shop
