I know that people can always sign up for the 5 issues for 5 pounds deal and keep doing that, but I always like these deals.

6 months subscription.

Plus I always get annoyed when I miss out on a good deal on this magazine, so I thought I would just share this latest offer for anyone who was thinking about picking up a subscription.

Its a fair deal as the controllers are normally at least 20-25 Quid.

Technically the offer expires on the 31st December 2019.

Fantastic magazine, especially for us that can remember 20 mins to load a game from tape. Ahhh, those were the days

Yeah Sorry 6 months.
So 6 issues and controller. Once you receive the first issue, I just cancel the direct debit to make sure I don't get charged again in the future.

I was playing the lovely sounds of a Spectrum loading a computer game to some of my younger colleagues the other day on YouTube. They couldn't get over the fact it would take about 7 or so mins to load a game

Screeeeech!
How do you get 5 issues for a fiver?
It's a very cool mag but I just found mine just sat on a shelf till I ended up giving them away, same with a few others like magpi - when do you have time to read them when you have your phone.

I know they do a digital version but ready a rag on your phone is a pita.

20 mins of loading screen for the game was ok. It was the 20 min loading for the subsequent death screen that was a real kick in the nuts!

I'm only in my early thirty's but i'm an old man really. I love reading them before bed, maybe 30 mins now and then and they are done quickly.

Just search around online to find a link. There's always one somewhere.
Great magazine. Did this deal last time they ran it.
Looking at the cover of the current issue and it has an article on the making of splinter cell, that is now considered retro! I remember as a 12/13 year old bing amazed by splinter cell, I never really thought of it as being old enough to be in a retro magazine, although it is pushing 18 years old.
Which is the best controller to go for?? Want to use it for switch!

Maybe the SN30 as that will cover you for the Super Nintendo Online Games.

Though I tried to play Tetris 99 with it the other day and it does not work with it

I took out this offer the last time it came on:

Right here!

The controller took over two months to arrive...

Got this last time. Took a while for the controller but still alright for the price
If anyone is looking here, they have a 31% off voucher today (TREAT31 min spend £31) and it works with this offer. You just need to boost your basket to £31, I added a couple of specials I'd had my eye on, after the discount the separate price for this offer with the 8bit do controller is £17.24.
I also got the 31% off the 2 Retro Gamer specials I ordered. Hopefully it helps someone.
