i dont even know what that means!!!

well, i work in currys, & i can't think of anything we've ever sold, that's worse than this piece of tat.

if it's left unplugged for long enough, the gel hardens - trust me, i have one sitting, out of it's box, in the stockroom!

also, the glass isn't attatched to the base, & is reliant on not being knocked.

i could go on, but i can't risk saying it these days. it's not a great job, but it's at risk enough at the moment, without bitching about the junk we sell. (i can't actually think of anything else that's junk right now though, although i know if i thought long enough about it, i'm sure i could think of something).

i do have some new ones though, in my store, although i'm not gonna tell which store i'm in. but believe me, you're better off without this bin-filler.

Even mathmos ones aren't attached to the base.

Yup, this is true. This lava lamp is ****. My boyfriend bought one the other week when it was £4.99 and it's bust already - there's bits of stuff in the gel which shouldn't be there, like springs which have appeared from the base.

Oh, and yes.. the burning smell is a big problem. I wouldn't touch one of these. If you want a Lava lamp, spend a bit more and get a decent one. I know they're pricey, but the Mathmos ones last for donkeys years. My nephew's had his for around 10 years now.

I spose this is a good example of you get what you pay for!

It's not a standard size lava lamp - Id say around 6/7 inches tall, but dont quote me on that! Id go and have a look, but I think it's been chucked in the bin

Homebase are doing Mathmos imitation lava lamps...10" £6.50, 14" £10, or giant ones for £39 - just reserved one  :w00t:

Just to warn anyone about these things. I bought one from Homebase and its pants, the wax takes around an hour to melt, even then you have to whirl it around to get it to separate, plus it says that is should not be left on for more than 6hrs at a time which defeats the object given the time it takes to start working in the first place..... personally, I'd avoid, mines going back!!!

 Oh no!! They looked like such a good deal aswell, thanks for letting me know :x

May still suit if you're happy to wait..... for ever!!! Other thing like has been said before, they are in three bits and are only secured by gravity so you have to make sure they are well placed or else buy some good carpet cleaner :whistling:

that sounds great!

Picked one up before - a little stocking filler for the kids! Hot!:santa:

Excellent

Picked it up today:thumbsup:

I don't understand how this is so hot lol - they're rubbish!
