Some of us remember going down the corner shop and buying 'a quarter of ......' in a little paper bag. When times were hard it was '2oz please'.

So when I saw these retro bags in Sainsbury's going for 30p a quarter I couldn't resist. Bargain price for sweets, especially old favourites. I think there may be more even more in the offer than I picked up.

No they're not, that's a different range that's usually only 42p a pack and are only 70g in weight (a quarter = 113g)

For example: sainsburys.co.uk/gro…932

I think these are normally 50p or 60p, I used to buy the milk bottles as a treat after college if I was staying late to help me get through coursework. Very good price for some yummy sweets

Bargain! These are normally 60p.

I used to love getting a '10p mix' aswell! Cant beat those little white paper bags of goodies!

Got some Cola Cubes and Pear Drops last week, bargain, get quite a few in each bag:D

Sweeeeeeet!!! Can I get "Tom Thumb Drops"?

Ahhh the good old days...

Kids these days have gone on to the much more expensive amphetamines and you can only get that in decimals too, just not the same.

great deal

Yes and they always took the skin off the roof of your mouth but we didnt care X)

I always asked for "10p worth" and when my pocket money went up so did my order lol - "Please can I have 20p worth of pear drops"

Great deal! (_;)

For the love of God, don't accidentally pick up the sugar free Fruit Salad chews. They're surprisingly OK, but if you scoff half a bag you will be in a *world* of pain in a few hours.

Saw these in Sainsburys last Friday and got a couple. We thought this was the standard price (because of the 3 for a £1, but that diffent) so didnt post it. Also when we went the jelly beans weren't included . Will go back.

Thanks OP for posting.

Still 60p round ours.

Still 60p at my local apart from 1 which was 1/2 price.

:O Where are the soor plooms?!

And don't buy the sugar free éclairs from amazon..

They will make you fart like a trooper and pebble stain the
toilet for days.

Please tell me the White Mice are included?

FYI anything with isomalt will give you the windypoopies. Google isomalt and you'll see why.
Apparently you get tolerant to it, but thats assuming you're not inside out before then!

Yummy! Thanks for the post, will be stocking up I think!
