Will a 3 year return ticket qualify me for an Irish passport

A think one of the required questions when applying to an EU passport should be if you voted for Brexit or not

I'm sure many who did also knew they were eligible for the passport.

A bit like smokers who used to sit in non-smoking areas...happily stinking out the place for the rest of us cos they could'nt face sitting with.......smokers!

I digress

I do have dual citizenship, as well my kids born here. My wife doesn't and she can't get it. Will sit in the queue on the EU entry and she will sit at the other one that may take forever to pass all the security.
My concern is more what will happen here, where me and my family live. A passport helps indeed, but it does not help with our daily lives. Rubbish, but others have different opinions which obviously were respected. Just hoping the EU will not take advantage if we begging for things, and mostly, we don't go ourselves with an attitude.
