Seems like a decent deal especially as checked luggage is included which often costs £70-£80+. Various dates are available for departures in November, December, February and March with the usual christmas blackout occuring. This deal will not be for everyone - there are lengthy waits at Shanghai airport in each direction (typically 10-15hrs), although if you are looking for the cheapest possible price then this is probably the deal for you. £276 to book through MyTrip or £295 to book direct with Air China which is probably advisable in this case.

Example dates:
12th - 19th Nov
5th - 12th Nov
4th - 12th Dec
7th - 16th Dec
11th - 21st Feb
19th - 26th Feb
7th - 18th March
17th - 24th March

Extremely cheap, but I'd want at least 2 weeks if spending a full day travelling each way. Last year the 8 hour layover in Qatar was bad enough, I can't sleep when travelling.
What’s the cheapest flight? Tried the 7th-18th March and it’s saying £356
We did this but to Phuket instead. Made a 2 night stopover in Beijing and really enjoyed it. It will be cold though so different wardrobe is required. If the weather is freezing then check out the ice bikes on Houhai lake!
I've just come back from Thailand. 2 weeks is a must as a day will go on travel and then a day on recovering.. phuket was amazing
Damn good price, heat added but mrs won't allow it
I've heard really bad things about Chinese airports such as taking items off you when they should be allowed.
i commented about this offer about a month ago on another thread.... I said i would not fly air china even though this is cheap...

If you have flown air china you will know what i mean... the aircraft i don't think had been updated since the late 90's nor cleaned, the white/grey plastics were filthy and it made me doubt their maintenance...

Their main hub is rubbish, the connections times when i found the flights a month ago were rubbish.

In flight experience / food etc was rubbish...

Basically if your a backpacker great, but otherwise, i would take a wide birth from flying with air china ---- look at the reviews and if you exclude people talking about price and biz, it's very very low:

Totally agree with you on that, air China are everything you've just said and more, shocking. Used them once and never again.
