Surprised to see racist comments allowed on this forum (ie. manbearpig). …Surprised to see racist comments allowed on this forum (ie. manbearpig). Korea is a great place to visit with genuine, friendly and welcoming people. It has a rich culture which differs from other East Asian nations due to the strong influence of Confucianism. Well worth a visit. Jeju Island in particular has some really stunning scenery.

Are you for real? There is nothing remotely racist about manbearpig's post. He visited the country and is simply commenting on how he personally found the people's attitude to tourists, which he is wholly entitled to do, as are you.

Just because his experience was perhaps somewhat more negative than yours does not make him racist. Calling his post racist is like me calling your post highly positively biased towards Koreans and Korea.

Good find!
Not the friendliest place to visit as a tourist. Compared to japan the people are much more superficial, arrogant and pretentious, and there is hardly anything to see. Women are much better looking, albeit due to some of the highest rates of cosmetic surgery in the world.
Go and see these a bit further north - far more interesting albeit a bit pricier

Was there a few months ago, wonderful place. I'd highly recommend. I'd love to go back again.
Went here last month, great place and great people. Also went with Air France (really good service) with a stopover in Paris, well worth it for the saving you make. Paid a bit more than this but we did have hold luggage.
I've lived and worked there, great food lots to do and the most humble people I've met. Lots of places to visit and see.
The dates would mean very cold temps and then towards the end load of rain.
amazing city but as said, from late Nov it gets very cold
