Good deal. But this is the 'far away' Venice Airport. Like how London Luton isn't in London at all. So about a hours train into the city. Done it myself and their trains were on time, efficient and clean. Heat added I must add (edited)

Make sure you get on the same train operator that is shown on your ticket and make sure you get it stamped (validated) before you get on.
    We got fined for both!

    Treviso isn't Venice.

It's Treviso (worth a visit in it's own right).

Indeed it is, as is Padova, CastelFranco, Cittadella and Verona.
A little further afield you have Udine and Trieste.

Great flights if wanting to ski the sella ronda

You can cycle the Sella Ronda in June, a bit warmer too!
Bet the flights won't be cheap though.

Bournemouth airport has not started flying to Venice, there were quite a few cheap flights too, might be worth a look if it’s closer

If you mean Treviso it is 20 minutes from Santa Lucia.

couple of years ago for 3 adults and a child bus was about the same price as taxi to Mestre near the train station.

You pay your money and take your chances but this airlines treatment of customers if anything goes wrong with your flights is a diabolical liberty.

Ryanair has been good in the past for me. Wizzair, on the other hand, is one I'd be a bit more cautious with

Whats the transfer situation into Venice? No train station at the Treviso airport I assume

The last times I flew with this outfit (never again, I might add), you land in Treviso airport which exists in a permanent 1973 state and then get on a coach from there to take you to the island, which took about 90mins. No idea how close the train station is as an alternative.
