Bit quite last minute and short noticed so wouldn't suit everyone, but if you can this is an incredible price and the weather must be quite pleasant in Cancun this time of the year. 14 days return flight for £229 per person flying 16 January returning 30th.

Update: I'm told a tax of $48 is payable upon departure from Mehico!

Cheap because of the warnings of violence and murder problems I would have thought.
Google it to make sure.

What a load of Boll***s, safe as houses been many times.

You can get in to trouble anywhere in the world. Should all flights be discounted.
I just did this and it came up 229 but then I wanted to change how many people went so I put 2 adults and 3 children’s and the price changed to 181pp 😊
Good flights. This will be on a Dreamliner and TUI service is actually rather good.
Personally would give Cancun a miss, head down to Tulum, it's far nicer.
Voted hot, but beware the stingy hand luggage limit of 5KG...

Totally agree with you from what I gather , beach resorts in Mexico could well be targeted by gangs in relation to drugs or protection schemes. However there are no signs that tourists are being targeted and there are no reports that I am aware of that tourists have been injured or killed in any such event at these beach resorts. Everywhere is dangerous. Uk is no exception. I'd feel much safer on a beach in Mexico than in a busy high street in London for example.
I love Mexico and have enjoyed several holidays there , I would not however visit Acapulco , Mexico City or any other non-tourist area.
And to answer your question 'Should all flights be discounted' .... Hell Yes ! Lets snap up some cheap holidays

Yeh.. cheap flights, expensive hotels if you want a good one! Don’t go less than 4 star, you’ll regret it. I’d be interested to know if anyone gets a good deal on a hotel to match.

Ha ha ha...lol. I couldn't care less. Simply it's had travel warnings. Huge murder rate and the murders are also not just on the outskirts anymore.
Cartel hot spots.
I've been there last year and 2 years ago. It was fine. I don't recommend Cancun or Playa del Carmen (just party) but more Tulum in the south. 1h collectivo (local bus) . There are ruins by the beach. Worth spending time there if you want to relax.

Quite right!
There are soooo many places in the yucatan to go apart from playa del carmen and Cancun. Take advantage of the cheap flights! Valladolid was great with some amazing local food and the gateway to some great historical sites.
I would add Cancun to the list of places not to visit in Mexico, not because it's particularly dangerous, but because it's full of kids on the piss. You can do that in the Med. I agree with others, that Talum is far better. Also agree with adz19 and make sure you designated hotel is well reviewed on TripAdvisor.

But is you worthy to quote the Brent ???
please change this deal to £279. you MUST pay £50~ departure tax to leave mexico with TUI Thomson!

You have to pay tourist tax with tui and in cash only.
The only airline that it's not included.
Been there in September. Loads of police patrols with machne guns patroling the streets. It made an impression of not being the safest place to be but still it was the best holiday I could possibly imagine. Totally in love with Riviera Maya.
