Nice one!

I love flying into LA, then driving straight out again and going somewhere nicer.

Great price!

Just noticed, they seem to be non direct flights, so not so hot.

Charlotte and Philadelphia aint that bad surely

Loving the choice of pic!

There's absolutely NOTHING to do in Charlotte! Though if it's a short stop over, you'll be fine!

I was happy paying £420 recently, so this is a great buy, and a great choice of picture, stopped outside the pub he stumbled outside to pick up divine brown last week on our tour

2.8% Quidco too

Flying into LAX I understand, but I've never managed to find out where LA actually is. There is a downtown area with high buildings, but everywhere seems to be called something other than Los Angeles.

just a quick one about quidco, they only pay 2.8% on the fare not the tax and for this price the fare is going to be about £30-40 so not going t be getting as much as you think...

good price tho as we paid £330 last year in may

It's ashame LA sucks though!

maybe your not going to the right places. LA rocks big time!! You better stick to *ahem* Leeds eh!
I wanna go over New Years but cant see any at this price

Whats the duration of the flights?

Whats the duration of the flights?

Must be 11 - 12 hours?

We went but flew from Detroit to Vegas and drove from there. That was a 3 hour flight.

Flights are with US airways (the one which crash landed into the Hudson)
and are via Philidelphia or Charlotte.

I have flown them a couple of times. Would not recommend them long haul.

Pick and mix on the plane you'll get. Out of Heathrow your likely to get an old plane (read no seatback TV, recline of person in front goes right into you)

What is common throughout is surly staff. You thought easyjet/ryanair were bad.
My advice is dont even talk to the cabin crew.

Good points. You get a full can of coke as a beverage. Bad thing. You'll need a wee at some point because of that.

Set your sights low to start with and you'll be okay.

Philidelphia isn't too bad an airport. Lots of different catering options. Free wifi. Lots of seating.

What a cringingly bad looking photo of Hugh Grant (I know it's probably taken from a movie but still)

I'm glad he's not worked in so long, he certainly doesn't help us to shake off the impression the Yanks have of us all being tea sipping nancies.

I think the Americans got a totally different impression of him after this photo!:-D

Voted hot mainly for the pic, but also a good price.

True, but you could also argue that they employ very good pilots, given the chances of landing the plane in such a scenario (don't think it had ever been done before).

Good price. Hot.

Not appreciating a humourous picture is no reason to vote a submission cold... this site is about identifying hot deals. If you're going to base your votes on criteria other than the quality of a deal then you've missed the point of the site.

I agree...
Flights are always delayed out of la Guardia...chronic customer service.

Its the kind of airline where people who have access problems are stuffed into the ordinary seats while kids of 16 get to sit in the bulkhead seat even after the people with difficulties have asked...I've also seen a pregnant women ask for a bulkhead seat and was turned down...I find this embarrassing for them really.....im sure like most places these days the management treat the staff like shittt so there constantly pisssed off.....

I fly to allot ny and on two occasions flying with US returning via Phili ...I ended up taking delta airlines flights instead due to "bad weather" there's always bad weather as far as I can see with us airways......they never book slots for departure so you end up on the tarmac for up to an hour while the try to bunk in the queue

....however......I think phili is a great city and worth stopping over for a few days if they will let you....

as city slicker says:

'Set your sights low to start with and you'll be okay'.
