If you do this and plan to stay in central Milan take the bus from the airport not a taxi. Flights might be £20 but the taxi is over £100 each way.

What's the best/cheapest way to get from central London to Stansted? So many bargain flights going from there but it seems like a nightmare to get to.

Was not fussed on Milan at all, a few nice streets surrounding a vast industrial area - like putting Regents Street and Oxford Street from London through the middle of the ex-ICI Billingham site.

Did this last April, went for £16 return! As @Wadda mentions get the shuttle coach from the airport to centrale and you're sweet.

When you have to queue at passport control and then prove where you're staying and that you have a return ticket you'll remember. On the plus side you get stamps in your passport, mine is filling up!

Buy clothes here, and watch the Primark-ers drool with envy on your return to the council estate.😃
