even in the rainy season it usually just drops its load in one go and then is great weather for the rest of the day

Any flights from Leicester? (_;)

Don't they have age restrictions and don't you have to be a student?

Just had an e-mail from a friend who lives there saying he is glad the rainy season is coming to an end and is spending the days dodging from shade to shade.

What would you recommend Bangkok for?

Great price by the way.

I used it as a main hub to fly in & out from, but it has the grand palace, some amazing shopping (chatuchak market) & food.

You can fly up to Chiang Mai or down to the islands for about £15.

Well, it does indeed say, "flights to Bangkok with exclusive fares for students and those under 26."

Nope, they sometimes have student or 'under 26' deals but the majority of the time anyone can use them. I booked with them this year and im not a student any more.

Serious question this time. oO

Do you need injections to visit Thailand?

LOL!!!! Does it really??? I think it is a wonderful country and would urge people to go... however... from May to July people should note... when it gets hot... IT GETS HOT!!!! Even by night.. it is highly uncomfortable due to the humidity... when it rains... it can rain for 10 minutes solid... or it can rain for hours upon end... just have to hope for the best i guess

Bangkok is great for shopping... i would however (and do) only use it as a base to see the rest of Thailand... internal flight to Phuket are very cheap and Pattaya is just a couple of hours away by car/bus.

The rain is going to increase from June month by month!

If anyone is really interested in this deal, may i suggest you check the Etihad website every few days... they are having sales every couple of weeks... there was one last week and fares were in the same region 280-290GBP, Their fleet is amazing (including the A380) And the customer service is great!

Ukrainian Airlines ((( Aeroflot is not so bad in my opinion, comparative to AirFrance-KLM in quality.... In no way am I saying that this comparison is good..

he is very much mistaken then:

Thailand hot season: February to mid June
Thailand monsoon season: mid June to October

the monsoon season is just beginning, not just ending

just back from bangkok was there 22may-31 may slight showers on one day thai people said too hot for them 32-37c

rainy season is starting now , I'm in and out of Thailand alot and just left Bangkok 5 days ago. Weather was pretty hot, rain can last minutes to hours and i don't think it will affect your holiday i had one day of rain which lasted no more than 20-30 minutes. ( JUST DO IT )

What's the best time to go there for the ladyboys, I mean beaches?

Beautiful country just stay away from the 'sexpat' destinations like Phuket, Pattaya etc. Bangkok is great for shopping, nights out, attractions and food is amazing. If you want something more relaxing head down to Krabi / Railay area, Koh Tao or even up to Chang Mai. All more authentic Thailand and nothing like the majority of idiots think Thailand is like (Ladyboys, **** etc).

May to July is the rainy season however, and although cooler it does flood in many places and can be overcast for days at a time. That said you could luck out and have a straight run of 34c + sunshine Khop Khun Khrap

Any visa requirements for longer stays?

Also I'm thinking of travelling to Cambodia. Bangkok would be a good hub, right/wrong?

As long as you stay on the east side (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) the weather will be fantastic in July as it is sheltered from the SW monsoon. Because of that it is still high season.
Phuket on the west side is wet, and the beaches are unfortunately dangerous to swim from and many tourists die each summer. On the plus side in Phuket it is very much the low season with Rick bottom hotel rates.

What a **** advice yet. Not everyone in Pattaya or Phuket is a sex mad paedophile. My other half (yes a woman) and I have travelled Thailand extensively and have been to said above lots of times and the people, food and atmosphere is electric...best way is to experience it your own way

Either way have fun and enjoy a beautiful country.

Been to Thailand three times and wouldn't say bmouthboyo's comment was misplaced. I couldn't recommend either Phuket or Pattaya for more than a few days. The longer you spend there you realise how ugly it is. Voted hot for the deal.
