This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Revenant Dogma, and JRPG title is currently listed as free on the South Korea Xbox Store, I think it may be listed as one of their Games With Gold titles. But hey, free title is a free title, to add to my ever growing lists of games I'll probably never play, soon it'll surpass my Steam list. Perhaps it's time to get into them now we're in lockdown*

"What is the fate of those who have acquired divine power? Discover it in a fantasy RPG featuring stunning 3D battles!Caine enters a ruins site in search of a feral relic said to be left behind by the gods and meets a mysterious girl in a mask. This strange encounter becomes the catalyst of a grand scheme that will change the worlds of humans and therians.
Will this new-found power lead to prosperity or destruction?

Have a 3D battle experience full of ambience featuring transformations that enable various skills and Bursts that can deal massive damage. Weapons can be customized to increase their power or be imbued with various effects.
Explore dynamic, constantly changing dungeons, take on many subquests and open up your path in a grand adventure!" - Taken from Steam

I believe you could also pick this up from the Japanese store with GWG.
Yes, free is free. But is it free if you have to pay for a subscription to play it? That old question again. If you think the answer is "yes," consider why you never see any deals on hukd offering free films at cineworld for unlimited card holders. Probably because nobody is thick enough to claim that they're free.

Depends on when you paid for Xbox Live i guess.

I got Xbox Gold before it had games, i paid for it for the ability to play online and chat with friends. Then games got added to the service at no extra cost, so I'd say that's a free addition in that case.

If you don't have gold but buy it for the GWG then....probably not free.

I think it's a worthwhile post because existing Gold subscribers might not know that you can snag games from other regions too. Obviously the regular GWG are nothing noteworthy.

Nah, if you have to pay any money in order to get something, it isn't free going by the definition of the word. I think 'At no extra cost' would be the most accurate term.
Just say ‘Free for Xbox Live subscribers’

That old question again.

Yes, old question, no point in bringing it up really, everything that could be said has, and it's allowed under the rules
Can play on PC too

The cost of gold membership has risen year after year, more so since the introduction of GwG. Trust me, you're paying for the games.

So if you pay for shopping every month, one day they gave you £5 voucher, is that a free voucher?

You didn't do the shopping to get that voucher, you would have done the shopping regardless.

Or if you paid for a gym membership and at no extra cost they gave you a protein shake when you arrived, isn't that free?

So in this regard if you already paid for something, then extra is added at no extra cost, then its free.

I'm paying less than i ever have, especially if you pay for Gamepass Ultimate.

Also i would say any increased cost is for inflation.

If you mean they give you a voucher because you're a paying customer, then no. It'd be a nice little bonus, but it wouldn't be free by definition.
You said it yourself - 'at no extra cost'. There would be an initial cost involved to get the voucher or shake. Getting something for free would involve no cost.
