  • Have a phone with Google Pay.

Which journeys are covered?

All applicable ‘Pay As You Go’ journeys on Transport for London or ‘TfL’ up to a maximum value of £2.50 will be covered. This includes all TfL bus journeys, off-peak tube journeys in zones 1 and 2 and peak tube journeys in zone 1. It can take up to 24 hours to provide your cashback. Please note that all applicable Perks will only be valid for 14 calendar days from the date they are received.

How can I see how many journeys I have left?
After each Perk has been redeemed and the transaction has been processed, you will receive your next Perk until all three have been used. However, the Campaign will end once 50,000 journeys have been redeemed, or the Campaign’s deadline has expired.

How long does the Campaign last for?
The Campaign will start on 23 September 2019 and will end on 7 October 2019 at 11.59 PM. Perks claimed before 7 October 2019 will remain active for 14 days.

nope. Other banks have procedures you can follow or the old faithful CEO complaint.

You’ve obviously never had a problem with Revolut. So you have no idea how bad it is.

Not really, many banks are very good first direct, Barclays, starling, HSBC, even Santander is not that bad.
They support google pay now?
Important bit to take screenshot of everything like promos, I lost £8 bonus because I did not take any screenshot. Or esle all good so far. Added: They do honor screenshot as a proof.
Heat added btw.

If you are going to use the Tube / bus anyway, you have nothing to lose. Just add Revolut to your Google Pay account and then remember to use it.

Edit: TfL will block £1.50 on your Revolut card by default. This is usually cleared in 4-5 days after the last TfL charge posts to the Revolut account. So plan to keep this buffer over & above the ticket cost. This used to be £10 a few years ago.

It might be the worst, but none of them are that great when things go wrong. If you have to resort to contacting the CEO, it's a failure of the processes, isn't it?

They support google pay now?

Apparently (for Visa now). I've got a physical Visa, but created a virtual Mastercard to use for Google Pay in the past. From when I've read online now, plus the fact they're promoting this, it looks like they do support Visa for Google Pay too. I tried to generate a new virtual card in the app, and the default is now Visa - not sure you can even pick. I couldn't create another as I just have the free account and don't want the hassle of deleting my virtual Mastercard.
So the X3 taps is for three journeys?
Pity its not valid till you use all 3 trips as applying for a card now and the campaign will be over time you get it.
Edit or maybe you can just use your phone now ???

How does this work?

I think people like to learn from their own experiences, it's a pathetic excuse of a bank I am glad I took my money out and saved myself further issues.

Just so everyone knows in case you want to close your account they will keep your data for 6 years even after closing the account.

Bit longer than that but yes you could still get the offer with a physical card.
Remember you've only got 3 days left to invite a friend to sign up to Revolut and you both get £10

Had 2 bad experiences myself and never got any joy after contacting C.S. Firstly three years ago I had two hotel rooms on a family holiday that I put $100 room credit down on each. Balance dropped $200 as expected, never used the room credit at all but the balance never reverted back. They said it did, I know it didn't. I said I'd never use them again but kept the app on my phone as an easy currency converter. Logged in about a year ago to see my balance is £50ish in the red. Called them and they said it was a payment they forgot to take on the trip 3 years ago. How am i meant to be O.K. with that.
Used my wifes card this year, no problems as of yet other than a long time to credit back some pre approval things bars like to take off you for some reason. That could have been the bars fault though.
rimalpatel00722/09/2019 16:12

How does this work?

Add your Revolut card to Google Pay. Ensure there is sufficient balance on it for 3 journeys plus an additional £1.50 which is blocked by TfL. Set the card as the default card in Google Pay if you want to avoid the hassle of switching to it at the gate. Tap in with your phone, tap out at the end of your journey.

TfL usually posts the charges for any day after 4:30am the next morning (a day on TfL ends at 4:29am when the calculations for the entire day are run to check if the daily & weekly cap apply). On my Amex card, this temporary charge converts to a permanent one the morning after it posts. I am guessing this would be the same for Revolut and once it posts, the credit should follow. The £1.50 hold falls off 4-5 days after the last use on TfL.

Please note that if your journey costs less than £2.50, the credit will be for the actual amount. If it costs more, you will get £2.50 back.

I have just put £20 on my Revolut card to use in the next couple of days. I will transfer any unused amount back to my bank account once all is the credits post.

@bozo007@rimalpatel007 - there's a bit more to it, check the T&C link I put in the Community Update. E.g. inc. in particular your address registered for your card must be a London address, you must use a Visa version of a Revolut card via Google Pay and "* Wait for your TfL Perk (this should arrive in less than 4 hours, but in some cases this may take longer);".

Bus is a flat £1.50 and you can swipe multiple times within 60 mins of the first one (there is a grace period of 9 mins over this)and still pay only £1.50. Train is cheap if you don't touch zone 1, else it starts from £2.40 if you touch zone 1.

Trains require a tap on entry & exit for each journey.

I hope everyone is aware that the offer applies to card holders with a London address. I am raising this only being the questions being asked would be unusual for London residents.

It should as Gatwick is in Oyster zone 6. But you will only get 2.50 back.

Edit: Looks like zones 1 & 2 travel only.
