Revolut offering free physical cards again when you top up £10 (maybe account specific)

Might be account specific (as I've had an email) but Revolut are offering free physical cards again. I've never been able to get these to work before, you need to add at least £10 to your account

- Open the latest version of the Revolut app and head to Top up
-Top up the minimum of £10 (or currency equivalent). This isn't a fee, you can spend or transfer your money immediately.
-Head to the Cards tab to order your free Revolut card with standard delivery
-That’s it! Your card will arrive in a few days

I got the option for a standard free card. Guessing you probably can't get a free card if you've already got on

Never worked for me in the past either but did this time, thanks!
So they usually charge a fee for a debit card?

If you go premium you can get one but its £5 or £6 a month I think

The card costs £4.99. I got mine free a few years ago.

Monzo free
Also starling is free
I use monzo. Tried them both and monzo has been the more pleasant experience. But this is OK deal for anyone who wants to specifically use these
Not popping up for me
Is this any different to a LKY card and app that is run by Thomas Cook? Their card is free and there’s no ongoing or cancellationfee like there is with some pre paid debit cards.
Starling works well, free

Card is one off payment of 4,99, that's it
Better experience with REVOLUT in moo.
I'm always up for a free physical
Say I’ve taken one specific currency out in a country, will I be able to put that money back in and exchange it to pounds again?

Ok, maybe I misunderstood the question.

I transferred / loaded cash onto the card before my holiday.

After returning, transferred unused amount back into my bank account.
Not working for me on the app, says I need to pay £4.99, I signed up yesterday and only have the virtual card

Try removing your virtual card and trying again, sometimes you can only have the one card
I binned mine & closed my account last year when they limited cash withdrawals to £200 per month. Far better pre-load cards available now.
Great deal if you can get it, and even if you can't this is useful since 90% of the deals I post are using EU/RoW currencies not GBP. Heat!
Tried both this ans Monzo and found Monzo to be very amateurish in comparison. My Monzo card was at times showing wrong balance, suddenly getting rejected and the my PIN changed all by itself and all they bcould say was blaming it on a technical errors. Now, how can I trust my money to be with them? Closed my account and stuck with revolut since. Also the fact that you can hold money in different currencies wins it for me.

That's the delivery charge
I’ve just signed up for a Transferwise Borderless Account with Free Debit Card, that looks good for my needs.

no, theres always a free card option. But they usually charge for delivery for the free card.
I presume thats whats free now.

Starling is a bank account, not a prepaid currency card.
Is it free with 4.99 delivery? Cos I can't get free without going premium.

Starling is a bank account, not a prepaid currency card.

Correct, however, Starling also has fee-free spend abroad. Starling also has no charges for cash withdrawals. Revolut charge 2% when you withdraw more than £200 per month.

Revolut will not give you perfect rates where there is a 0.5%-2% charge (depending on currency) on weekends / bank holidays - They simply change the rate to include the fee and it's not a good exchange rate on weekends and easily beaten by Starling, Monzo etc.

Revolut is a shell of it's former self and this deal is cold.

Jumped through all the hoops, and it wants money for the card. Cold vote.
I know this is totally different but the Barclay platinum travel credit card is pretty good with the offer of 0% fee for foreign transactions and non sterling withdraws till August 2022 and up to 56 interest free on the withdraws.

Revolut is also not fscs protected.

REVOLUT CARDS ARE NOT FREE! This is lie!!!

Usually card is free, but you have to pay for sending it to you- so to have the card you have to spend some money (in standard plan)

see this thread

Starling Bank is better as there is no limit on cash withdrawals per month.

Mine definitely said free postage
Just ordered one yesterday, cost me £5
Definitely account specific, I had the email and got free card/free delivery.
I'm not sure exactly what this card is but the Halifax Clarity credit card also has fee free transactions abroad, as does the Metro Bank debit card although you need to open a current account which has no fees on it either.
Thanks
