There was a post yesterday stating 12 months free.

This is a trick to get you to move to their new capped/traffic shaped packages that actually cost 'more' per month, do not be an idiot and fall for it.

I got that message recently, only problem(well 2 problems) we've been given the mac for apparently using more than 40gb/month for 2/more months straight(this was couple months back) and been told that means we can't go back to o2(usually if you move from o2 it's like 6months wait before you can go back to them) plus we can only get the access package as no o2 llu at our exchange. I'm glad to be rid of o2 as even tho they claim they don't throttle video streaming(you tube etc) I was finding I wasn't getting full bandwidth(was only getting like 300kb rather than 1mb-1 1/2mb)when watching tv shows etc online, YouTube, Megavideo, fivefwd etc only one I didn't have issue with was iplayer.

The money saved by moving to a different network would probably buy you 12 months broadband

I called O2 broadband yesterday as I am on the old deal for 2-3 years where I get 8 Meg and unlimited download. The guy offered me this deal and also the free 12 months BB. I then advised him although I might get a faster speed but my down load would be capped and restricted. He then offered a £20 Amazon vouchers if signed up for a 12 month contract on my existing contract.

Not so. I have taken up this offer and remain on their standard package unlimited bb. Great deal and the best ISP I have ever used. Have some heat

Where would you get un-limited broadband for less than £7.66 per month?

It's free on Orange.
