Has some good reviews and conveniently has the rear cam as part of the package in my view this a great convenience as being hit in the rear is not always a guarantee of not being at fault according to many insurance companies hope it helps someone out...

1920x1080 Full-HD resolution H. 264 photography compression technology
Lens: 170 degree 6-layers glass lens
With rear camera 90 degree
Discreet Design
Dash Cam switches on as soon as you start your engine, and will continue to do that, for a few minutes after you stop it which I thought is useful especially if you have stop-start and you are stuck at the traffic lights.

You could probably say that about anything these days.
Pity it has no motion detection/parking mode.

Any recommendations for a dashcam with good motion detection?

There is an expert firmware with motion detecting on rexingusa.com/en/…re/
I have the front cam of this. Performs very well and recommend. However only issue I have its almost impossible to make out a replay on its lcd screen. To review recording you need to load the ad card on to PC.
The rear camera has a resolution of only 640x480. If it's similar to one I tested before, then it'll probably look like it's been upscaled from 320x240!

Either way, you'd be better off sticking a proper dashcam in the back if you ever want to make out someone's licence plate. If ever you get some interesting rear footage, you'll soon regret having it at only 640x480.
Would this work ok for a transit van? Is the rear cable likely to reach? My father-in-law is after one...

I believe it should do -
Package Includes:
Rexing V1P Dash Cam
Rear camera (Waterproof)
Rear camera extension cable (6M)
In-car charging cable (3.5M)
3M adhesive mount
User Manual
555gc8 I can recommend the next base 512gw its good for day/night recording, has parking mode & g-shock. You maybe lucky and get an ex-demo one available at Halfords or when they or Amazon have sales on

Brilliant, thank you I ordered him one
I have two of these and both have been flawless. Excellent daytime video and good night time (plenty good enough for number plates etc). It has parking monitor and motion sensing in alternative firmware from direct from Rexing. See rexingusa.com/en/…re/

The wedge shape also makes it more discreet IMO. Heat from me.
Only 30fps with rolling shutter, but not bad for the cash.As above, a dedicated rear camera would be better
Not seeing anything that justifies the price, the so called independent review site is just a sales portal and there is barely any trace of footage to be found anywhere and what there is appears rather dark.
The chipset appears to be NT96650/AR0330, which is exactly the same as the original (and cheap) G1W /G1WH/G1WC/A118 type dashcams, but to be honest the small amount of footage I have seen doesn't seem to be as good as those!

The rear camera is VERY low VGA resolution btw, the first dashcam I had used this arrangement and I soon upgraded to standalone cameras back and front as it was useless and hard to keep pointed where you want it to be.

This site is also little to go by, and it is the single camera version but is more critical: dashboardcamerareviews.com/rex…v1/

Many thanks I'll check it out.
