Awesome price! Any reviews?

hdtvtest.co.uk/new…htm review is not bad but not good only 4k when there's no motion so basically when your looking at photos.

great price for average tv

I tried and promo do work "RGB150PNDOFF" and at checkout it knocks of £150 to make it £799.

says £999 then you have to pay for 3 or 5years warranty

"The UHDTV’s 4K resolution only holds true on a static picture; on a moving image you’d be lucky to get 1K. "

LOL!

this is an awesome deal

sowotsdis

If it's an "average tv" then surely the price can never be "awesome" as it's only average

thanks for clarifying this. I was about to order. May leave it another 6 month to a year whilst they sort this out. I dug out my 10yr old projector which does 720p/1080i and only done 360hrs. That will serve me well for movies until then

not that familiar with this stuff, do you mean that would not work with a 4k videocamera when will come out?? thank you
does anyone knows how good is to be used fro pc purposes at 4k and does it do 60 FPS?? I got a compatible 4k pc
Edited by: "bobo53" 31st Jul 2014

..it will not do 60 fps playing games.

..And you will definitely need a lot of graphic power, probably a 780ti or R290x.

got hdmi2, does it mean that not necessarily will do 60 FPS?? got 2xr9 290

Don't from here my brother got a TV from here last year . Got the warranty too but when he damage his tv and went back to change they don't cover accident damage !! So now he is stuck without no tv!!

Why would a warranty cover accidental damage? No manufacturer/shop warranty covers accidental damage unless specified - that's what accidental damage insurance is for.

Similar happened to a mate of mine. Got a brand new Merc, rolled it when he was drunk.

Tried to claim under their so called "warranty", and they said no chance.

Now he has no car!!

Warranties generally don't cover idiotic behavior. You know, like drink driving.... or dropping your telly down the stairs, stuff like that.

I saw this TV in my local John Lewis and I was well impressed however not with the price as they were selling it for £1299. Just ordered mine from RGB, cant wait.

you guys who have ordered do realise you can't watch TV/Movies or play games in 4k right.

I am puzzled, can you explain about the games in 4k?? does or does not? I know that this tv got an hdmi 2.0 connection and therefore should do games with a compatible pc up to 60hz or 60FPS, please confirm why cannot play games on PC in 4k . Interested to buy this tv for this purpose only, thank You

Netflix are streaming 4k and if you give it a 4k feed it will work. Therefore PC with 4k gaming will show 4k..

I bought this TV recently and can confirm that picture quality is absolutely superb.. watching movies, playing xbox and watching sky sports and all perfect... on top of that HD to 4K scaling works brilliant as well especially on HD channels..

I got Sony HD in an other room and can feel clear difference with HD to 4K up scaling to sports and movies..

hdtvtest.co.uk seems crap site to me, they have done review on only 6 televisions and claiming world leading review site.. plus, I read about website somewhere as pro sony against samsung.. and not bothered to touch any other leading brand like Panasonic etc

Great price for a great TV, yet, 4k? Where's the content? Same with 3D TVs, even Sky have given up on that!

but I bought an LG 50" in 2011 for £565 from Pixmania(spit) went in month 14, £95 repair, Pixmania broke their promise to refund repair & call out (£45);

That's y expensive items like TVs should have warranties linked to their cost(?)

£300 TV should have 3 year minimum warranties

£500+ 5 years minimum

You try to play a good FPS ( first person shooter) like Call of Duty or Battlefield 4 at 30 frames per second....its a joke.
I know, because i am a top 1% gamer.
Trust me...its pants.
If you want gaming eye candy then buy a 144hz or higher dedicated monitor, preferably with G-Sync function which is for Nvidia cards only, not AMD.
Asus are releasing one shortly it is the best gaming monitor on the planet. ( In budget)

Oh well, if a top 1% gamer tells me not to buy it ...

I've just ordered one anyway. Worth a go at that price. FPS gaming not a major consideration for me anyway, although user reviews have been pretty positive.

no 3D ;-( otherwise hot

mate you are following wrong post.. this TV target market is not 1% top gamer whatever..

Target of this entry level 4K tv is let people watch 4K movies and HD content including HD sports up scale to 4K making is much better than HD...

I got it priced match from John lewis for £999 with 5 years warranty and I think its a good deal...

Yes watched 4K from netflix and I can feel the clear difference.. even 4K conent on youtube is much better than on HD..

To be clear this will support a PC at 4K at 60fps, latest nvidia drivers will work at this even though graphics card is only HDMI 1.4 by using 4:2:0 colour space

Will be the next Beta-max, HD-DVD etc. Now that VESA have accepted AMD's standard (Freesync) for Display Port 1.2a (to be called Adaptive sync) everybody will use that.

What is a top 1% gamer? Is it a self-proclaimed title?
