Anyone know if the TV will auto change channel when the Wii is switched on with this?

Cheers

So which is better, this or component cable? I bought a component cable from ]DX and there is a slight noticable difference. The pictures are a little sharper and colour slightly better. Supposed to go to 480p. It was cheap so cant complain.

but doesnt the wii already come with the component lead with scart adaptor? Mine did.

it does, but if you can buy this and then the channel changes automatically like SKY box does, then when nipper want to play it, he can just turn it on.

Fair enough although I thought the 3 plug standard AV lead was meant to be better than a scart cable.

Hi - the cable that comes with as standard with the Wii isn't component (Red, Green, Blue) but a composite (Yellow, Red, White) video cable. An RGB Scart should be better noticeably better than composite but possibly not quite as good as component.

With the Wii I'm quite happy playing through the composite lead - when you're in the throes of a game the subtleties of image quality probably aren't that high a priority.

Suggest you guys try GAME. Just bought one of these at the local GAME shop for £3.98 (down from £12.99)
Don't think it was gold plated tho.....
