Was up for £2.50, now they have knocked another 50p off. This 1.5 litre is now comfortably cheaper than the much smaller 850ml (£2 v £2.79).

Tastes like cat vomit now.

I cannot fathom why people still buy this crap. What's wrong with them? Why can't they taste how utterly foul it is?

I miss the old Ribena without sweetener...

I remember the first time I tried the new unsweetened version, I wrote Ribena an email complaining that the batch must Have been incorrect. Had an email saying all Ribena will taste like this now
Also available in Morrisons, £3.75 each or 2 for £4
Ribena said they were cutting sugar out for the good of the nations health. I don't believe that. I think they were scared they'd lose sales with the amount sugar tax would add on. Ribena was a premium cordial as it was, I would have been happy to pay more to keep it with the original recipe. I suspect many others would too. I didn't even know they'd changed the recipe with the sneaky way they did it. I took a mouthful and nearly spat it out, I questioned my senses. Then I looked at the bottle to see they'd put sweetener in it. I never bought it again since. Some drinks have good implementations of sweeteners, like Pepsi Max, I can't even taste the sweetener or the disgusting after taste. Ribena though as someone said above does possibly take like cat vomit (not having tried cat vomit I can't be sure).

Obviously the sales loss wasn't as bad as I'd hoped it would be for them to relent. Still, bring back original recipe Ribena!

Pathetic. There were plenty of diet/low sugar variants on the market for those who can stand the awful taste of artificial sweeteners. Why the hell couldn't they just leave the full sugar versions alone? Idiots.
Ribena Suntory is also on my boycott list. The manufacturers of Belvoir and Rocks are doing well from me so far.
Totally agree with all the comments about artificial sweeteners - they all taste vile, even when they claim to have 'natural' origins, or are put in for padding/preservative reasons like maltodextrin

Instead of treating us like kids & simply reducing the sugar, removing it, or simply selling some full sugar versions, they add artficial crap! I refuse to buy any drinks or foods that have any of that rubbish, and I'm hoping enough customers do the same - affecting their sales - to force a change.
