love ribena

Thanks. Really helps. Today, I am going to Asda to stock up Ribena, tomorrow to Sainsbury's for Walker's crisp... to Aldi to get some clementines .... Who says life isn't hard???

great price, i love the orange ribena but no supermarkets sell it, i can only buy it in petrol stations and its 50p a carton.

great find:thumbsup:

Get the light, the other one has nearly as much sugar as a can of coke.

I'd much rather have sugar than carcinogenic sweeteners thanks!

These are the smaller size ones right? The original size is what, 288ml?

mmmmmmmmmmmm carcinogens :-D

Its a cheap price but its very bad for you. There's the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar in 250mls (40grams). Note that they call the 'healthier' versions ribena 'light' or 'toothkind' as they cannot get away with calling them diet. These versions still contain loads of sugar.

good price, but sooo bad for you!

That's just simply not true. The really light version contains 0.5g of sugar per 100ml, and that is naturally occurring in the fruit juice. They don't call it diet because that's not what Ribena chooses to market it as.

Your claim about the amount of sugar is also just plain wrong.. In 250mls (of the original version) there is 26.25g of sugar.

Obviously it shouldn't be the only thing you drink, but it is not unhealthy to drink.

Horrible stuff, doesn't do your kid's teeth any favours either!

They are 200ml cartons. For comparison poundland now do the 288ml cartons 3 for £1.

2.88*3= 8.64ml per pence
200*30= 600/500= 12ml per pence.

Smaller packs on a 3 for 5 deal are much better value. Free delivery too on orders over £25 . Codes on here.

This deal compared to a 2 for £3 offer sainsbury did a while back.

Just logged on asda.com. Appears offer has expired.

Sainsbury do 2 for £4. If you can get a 10% discount from vouchers the tills do it is somewhat close.
