Isn’t this TV Chinese made? Isn’t there a chance it would spy on you?

Spying was US lie to protect its own tech companies, if true the US would be the first to show everyone any evidence but none exists, just empty claims

Does it make sense to say don't buy Chinese tech, its used for spying but US companies sell components to Huawei to make equipment to do it? it's always been about US economy and trade

Bin iPhones as they're made in China, plus get off Facebook, Google, etc as you've been spied on and privacy sold by Western companies/government for profit for years so worry about this before scaremongering about nasty foreigners

I doubt the Chinese government are bothered that you’re sat in front of your TV at 1am, eating microwave pizza whilst binge watching Chick flicks.

I asking a question, not scaremongering.

Sorry, hopefully my comment explains how the spying claim makes no sense and we need to worry about how our own companies/government actually do spy/sell our data first before thinking about Chinese spying of which no evidence exists
Hisense is a very big producer of consumer electronics, headquartered in Qingdao and they are looking to establish themselves as a worthy competitor to major Korean and Japanese brands. They are doing this by producing good/better products at a very competitive price. Although their name is relatively new in Europe they have been around a long time and are not going away any time soon, and are a massive operation.

Other major brands from Qingdao you might have noticed include Haier (white goods and domestic appliances) and Tsingdao the Chinese export beer - the city used to be a German concession and they set up the brewery.

Whats the quality of the picture like
I use sky q and ps4 pro
Looks good to me, for the 58" version anyway.

Read reviews to check if there's any significant input lag for gaming but i think it's rated quite highly in that regard.
Not great for gaming. No game mode and the input lag is noticeable to me. I managed to get one for £371 so no complaints.

I think the 65B7500UK is the one to go for, it's been had for this price before if not less

i do think you get what you pay for with tellies. not normally a tart but you just know its not going to be great. can you complain for the money? I guess not. rather spend double on something twice as good myself but heat none the less. God I sound like Boris Johnson.
Hmm after a new tv to replace a 6 year old Sony 55” 1080p W829

I have a 32”1080p Hisennse in the bedroom and it’s picture quality is amazing on both HD and Non HD

But still not sure it will be the same quality on a 65” ?

Then again it’s about half the price of the Sony’s I’ve been looking at so need a to research this a bit more before pulling the trigger

I have this, the pic quality is excellent with HD ect, but non HD, which most terrestrial channels still are, is pretty bad, not terrible but very noticeable.
The screen size makes a huge difference in sd quality compared to my old 48"

If you are of the netflix generation with ultra HD, the screen quality is very very good, I presume that's why it's so noticeable when watching a re run of top gear on dave for instance.
I've had two hisense sets in the house both bought 3 years ago, one is a 55" 55M3300 budget set from amazon warehouse £300, the other was the main tv 65m7000, flagship model at the time from JL that was £1200 and was really buggy up until it died a few months ago whereas the cheap one has been faultless.
If it hadn't been for the five year warranty it would have been an expensive lesson.

I will be using Sky Q or using a Apple TV non 4K on the tv but I mainly end up watching reruns of Top Gear on Dave to be honest so that’s why I’m after a set that does both pictures well if one actually exists

Sony XF9005 upscales well, hopefully in your price range, newer XG is £200 more and resolves some of the slower Android OS issues

Fab price, heat. Same price on Amazon
3.3% topcashback but can't buy online?
I went with the R65B7120UK from Argos, not sure if there's much difference but I've found the TV to be fantastic for both gaming and movies/shows. I play Rocket League (PS4 Pro) and plenty of Switch games and they all seemingly run very well.

My version has a dedicated game mode.

Well said, this hypocrisy should be exposed! Mainstream media doesn't provide us news, it brainwashes us 24/7. I had concerns about Huawei but once I used it, it is the best phone brand I have ever owned in my life.

Huawei's are amazing phones I've got a mate 10 pro, supposed to upgrade in a couple of months but this thing has never slowed down or become glitchy in any way, its a smashing phone I may not bother, how much better would a new phone be anyway??

You sure you don't have a game mode under expect settings?

Also you can just switch off all post processing which is game mode anyway
I got the 7500 and it's amazing. Looks pretty stylish too with the one price metal frame and thin bezel. Was £329 for the 55"
If I hadnt of got my samsung recently i would have got this tv
Remember motion blur is generally quite bad on most 65 inch tvs, so if you're sensitive to these sorts of things just be aware.

What about a Philips 65" in the same or slightly more price range? I like the idea of the ambilight but the picture needs to be decent. Also use Sky Q, 1st gen ps4 and 4k fire tv stick.

It was a post on here from Currys eBay. It ended up that price with the discount code and £19.50 from Topcashback (which paid out a couple of days back).

Only 2 year standard warranty though. I was willing to take the chance for the price.
