P20 has always worked really well for me, and i burn easily, but despite the claims has stained every item of clothing it has come into contact with.

Have you tried the Calypso brand? I'd say it is as good as P20 but without the greasy and staining properties. And about a third of the price

Is it just as waterproof? And does it last all day? (If you don’t get it wet obviously)

I exclusively use P20, I would love a cheaper and less greasy solution.

Its advertised as once a day and is waterproof. I've not burnt whilst using it on holiday. It has a jelly like consistency a bit like the antibac hand gel which I find is absorbed far quicker than rieman. It's also clear rather than the oily yellow of rieman. I was always a Rieman user but find this stuff just as good. Available at aldi / home bargains for about 4.99. Hope this helps.
Good price on the Rieman tho OP!

I don't like the idea of putting suncream on once a day... Give me some clear ambre solaire 50 and a couple of appplications at least.

Edit: Trouble is, it's difficult to find good independent advice and guidance on brands. You can't trust that the Cosmo/Good HKing types aren't taking bungs to punt certain brands...

It's just a difference in what you are paying for and need. For people out working in environments for a long time where it's an issue p20 and once a day creams are a really boon. They also don't wear off in patches in the same.way, once it's on its on.
NHS recommend re-application every 2 hours, I wouldn't go all day with only one application.
If you have a gordons chemist it's usually 15.99 for big spray or cream or 9.99 for small size version.
Ireland only.

Great deal imo - I have been using P20 for the past 5 years and have not burnt since...one application a day usually, and I only top up if i've been swimming multiple times in that day. Just back from 2 weeks in vietnam where the UV index was 9/10 and weather was 40 degrees, and didn't burn at all.

Never had any staining issues with it too, just have to let it absorb before wearing clothes over the top. Much less hassle than constantly re-applying.

Good price for it imo, its usulaly £15ish in costco so this is a decent saving. The continuous spray format is really easy to apply too, really like it.

Only problem if your going on holiday your only allowed 100ml these are more, you would need a few 100ml bottles to put it in, we are going in August 2 adults 2 kids so will need a lot of little bottles to fill.

As much as you like when in suitcase surely, just adds a lot of weight

Is that an all day one?

None are truly all day, they is no test to determine if it will actually last all day and in Australia it's not allowed to advertise a sun lotion as lasting all day because it's classed mis leading,

At last. Someone else that has read the instructions and not complained "it stains your clothes" . I've used this for 10 years after my doctor recommend it, never burn, tried the Calypso stuff, it's only effective for I think 5 or 6 hours, not 10 like p20 is.

In short no and no.
As per the comments above you have to give it a chance to fully absorb before putting clothes over the top but to be blunt if you sweat it will more than likely stain.
I still use it for the first few days when i am abroad because it works so well, i just dont wear anything i wouldnt mind being ruined during the day and shower throughly before donning the evening clobber

No. But for that price doesn't matter. Just got back from Mexico and I just used twice a day and fine for me

Sorry, I wasn't clear; I understand what it claims. I just don't trust the science that says you remain protected throughout the day with one application. I've had about 6 moles removed and so class myself as a high risk, hence my interest!

Put it this way, my families pretty prone to the same and high risk and a good half of us have worked and lived in deserts over the years from the Mojave to the Arabian and this is the stuff we've all used for years. For the UK 90% of the time I stick to cheaper normal sun creams, but if you are out in extreme sun and use it every day then this is what you want and they do absolutely work.

I've never seen this not work, the only time I've seen anyone have issues is if they miss a spot which is usually hilariously obvious. You can also totally use this with other creams, or just topically, my Dad pretty much uses this on his head every day and doesn't bother with it anywhere else. If you need daily sunscreen then this is a good option as you just need to remember once a day.

Also the science is the science, at this point the products been about long enough(decades) and sells well enough that if there was anything wrong with the science it would be obvious.
