Headset with Dolby Atmos license included. The license is a code inside the box and links to your Microsoft account so will work with your Xbox's and any modern Windows OS. I'm running Windows 10 and it's active on my PC.

The Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound is excellent imho and costs about £14 and will work with any headset meaning that you are paying about £39 for the headset which I think is a bargain.

I was tracking this as I was considering the 400 but eventually treated myself to the 800 which is wire free but three times the price.

Please note that many of the other RIG 400 HX deals appear cheaper but do not have the Atmos code in the box. Atmos is specically mentioned in this listing therefore should be included.

Standard 3.5m jack so will work with any other device with this socket too and Atmos on Windows 10 as mentioned.

The headset market is a minefield. How does this compare to say Turtle Beach 800x?
Still waiting for the 800’s to reappear
Only 40nm drivers, much better off with some 50's like the XO Threes for £38 it's only fake atmos anyway, use windows sonic instead it's free and the same thing.
I got these from sainsburys last month for £25 but with out the code, might be worth checking if they still have them. I use the windows Sonic option on my Xbox but I'll try the 30 day free trial to see if it's any better.

I've got the 800's which have 40m drivers and they sound amazing. The Atmos demos are amazing and playing PuBg sometimes scares the out of me when someone fires off an SKS nearby.

I haven't actually listened to the 400's, one of my mates is taking the plunge so i'll post back but here are the specs for comparison:

Not sure but just looking at the photo they don't look as comfortable. The Plantronics 800's I just bought replaced my TB X41's which I've had for 8 years! I bought them for the 360 and as they were optical in, they worked with the Xbone and would have worked for the X but the 800's are a massive step up and cost around the same as I paid in 2010 for the X41's.

IMHO it's worth getting a quality pair that will last. I'm not actually sure what I'll do with my X41's, might give them to my daughter as the only thing wrong with them is the chat cable is a little crackly if you move it.

I tried Windows Sonic but was having trouble picking up direction of footsteps etc. in PuBg. The Atmos is amazing for directional sound though. I haven't compared the 800's with sonic vs Atmos in game though but my X31's were better set to stereo than sonic for sound whoring

I love my RIG headphone
Bought.... cheaper than an xbone x
I use some Turtle Beach XO One's, these any improvement over it? I downloaded the atmos app and listened to the demos but not had chance to try any games yet. What's the best way to set the audio settings on the x?

if you have the Atmos trial then just set that in the audio settings. That's pretty much all you need to do it. The rest is up to the phones. I don't think it would be worth upgrading from XO's to these. The 800's on the other hand... but they will set you back £160

Ok thanks, I guess I can leave my audio over hdmi/optical settings alone and just select atmos under the headphone settings?

I've read some conflicting articles that either say unless the game supports atmos there's no difference in audio or on the other hand it can help improve games that Don't?

What's your experience? (If you use it) cheers
I ordered these the other day ( have been delivered today ) ... I used the £5 off with installing the Toolbar widget...

Yes you only need to change the hdmo/optical settings if you have an amp or want have a headset with an optical input like my old X41's. I have it on hdmi as my monitor has speakers so I can use that for Netflix etc. and the headphones for games.

I'm afraid I've only played PuBg so far. Haven't had any time for much else due to real life getting in the way of my gaming

Yes i'd say the Atmos definitely helps with the sound whoring required to get more chicken dinners.
