I bought in-store for 240. Decent kit but the total cost really mounts once you start adding additional sensors at £40 and £30 each for motion and contact sensors respectively.
I always needed a ring piece alarm
Owned by Amazon, who recently had an issue with employees accessing the videos, and will, without warning, give copies of videos to the Police and authorities without need for your permission.

So you are saying Ring is owned by Amazon?, what sort of videos do the give to the police, do they come around and video you installing this alarm then, I assume from your comment that Amazon give videos of you installing the alarm to the police for info as to how easy these alarms are to install?. There can be no other videos as this is an house alarm and not capable of taking moving pictures, or am I missing something?

When your doorbell is activated, the images/video go through the Amazon servers on the way to your phone. Thus anyone who came to your door, or if the device is kept live, anyone in the viewfinder, is now available to be seen by whoever has access.

Oh sorry, I thought this was for an alarm rather than a doorbell.Having said that, are people really bothered about amazon looking at videos of people ringing a doorbell, seems mighty strange to me. In all honesty I am interested if this alarm is any good rather than some non related rubbish about peoples doorbells being prime time viewing for a load of saddos.

If you read the articles, people also use Ring to monitor the inside of the house. So that could be your 10 year old daughter, or your wife walking around naked, in the supposed security of her own home, being the centre of shared pleasure

I will say it again, this is an alarm, how are they going to see my wife naked, explain where the camera is fitted inside the ring alarm, am I missing something unless they are hidden inside a pir or door sensor. I can understand your statement if this was a deal on a camera or doorbell, just struggling to see that if i buy this alarm I can be watched inside my house by Amazon

You ever have those occasions when, once you have read something wrong, it stays wrong, no matter how many times you look at it afterwards?
Guess what?
Yes this is an alarm.
Yes, I was wrong.
Yes, if there was any video elements involved, such as their video doorbell or cameras, then my currently incorrect statements apply.
