well then its hot from me

I have the 630 (digital) & it's ace! ..tbh at this price i'd have gone for this, bargain, always recommended to have a pen style pressure gauge to evaluate accuracy of a machine though.

I've got one of these, bought it when it was on offer for £8.00 at Amazon a couple of months ago. Worth keeping an eye there if you're not in any rush as price tends to fluctuate quite a bit (currently £10.69). Good compressor, a bit slow and noisy, but does the job and should work out a lot cheaper than all those 20-50ps on the garage forecourt. Was a bit concerned before I got it about the accuracy of the gauge, but seems pretty well spot-on to me.

"should work out a lot cheaper than all those 20-50ps on the garage forecourt."

the only forecourt air that is free is Sainsbury's.

ordered. heated.

so is it better to have a digital one or this analogue one?

£10.69 at Amazon if you prefer them (I know it's 70p dearer!) plus there are a few reviews to have a look at...

Compressor automatically shuts-off when the desired preset air pressure is reached on the Digital one.

Depends what you want from it really i guess...

I have the digital one (Ring Automotive RAC630). (£22.69)
It stops automatically when the pre-selected pressure is reached.

Although from what I have just read on amazon the Digital one isn't always particularly accurate...

Or reliable..... i've read quite a lot of reviews that have claimed that the digi gauge has just packed up after a while.
Which was why i ordered this cheaper analogue gauge one.
It was £9 for me a while back.

Voted as hot, because the price seems cheaper than anywhere else, but I do not understand the popularity of these. According to the instructions, it takes 4.5 minutes to inflate a tyre, and you need to keep your car running to ensure there is no battery drain. Keeping my car running long enough to inflate the tyres would not lead to any saving, plus it would take longer.

Why not just use a foot pump? They cost about three quid, do not require a huge amount of effort and you will certainly be able to inflate a tyre from flat in less than 4 minutes, plus you can pump up bike tyres (etc) without being near a power source.

This looks like the AA digital air compressor i got in the amazon black friday deal. Should i return that and get this?

how often do you need to inflate a tyre from completely flat? ...very rarely, this is mainly used for top up to balance out the tyre pressure.

however i've used mine from almost flat & tbh it's fast, I didnt need the engine running & it was a little car merc a class topped up then did the very big almost flat mpv, no problem, total use around 15 minutes.

if you regularly drive shouldnt be a problem, we also de-sulph cycle our car batteries as ongoing maintenence

Whats that?

Last time I had a flat tyre, it was only flat at the bottom :-)

This sort won't work then.
