A bloody doorbell for £100. I’ll pass. Go gearbest
Rather buy from JL same price, 2 yr warranty.

Currys customer service is appalling, worth noting.

Last time i had an issue with Currys (entirely their mistake) it took literally 15 phone calls to resolve. Last time i had an issue with John Lewis it took 1 phone call with a pleasant individual. Currys has been consitantly terrible and John Lewis consistently beyond helpful. Currys has a systemic company ethics issue.

Good price, heat added.

Word of warning, it's well worth making the effort of getting it wired to the mains.

For the bbc TV Goons?
Be aware customer service is dire, with there reach out to you BS. I bought a Pro, numerous setup issues and calls, on the surface service very polished but neck I have been waiting 3mths and 6 attempts to ship how many escalation they are clueless where my transformer or extra security screws are. I have up up bought a mains powered transformer.
Get the Ring 2 over this.
Won’t thieves just take this off door ?
I love this doorbell. Fantastic product.

A thief with half a brain will just bang on the door to see if somebody is in, once he realises that it's a security doorbell.

It can record if it detects a movement, not just pressing the bell

I believe they replace it for free if that happens.

Fair enough, hadn't realised. They could do well to make the TV adverts show that

It's useless when reported stolen, so whats the point?

Huh?

What's that got to do with my comment.

Get the Ring 2 over this.

Ring 2 not worth the extra, i have both.

Yes the Ring 2 has 1080p, but you're viewing it on your phone screen so full HD is pretty pointless and minimal if any difference.

The Ring 2 has a removable battery, which can be stolen.

Other than that, they work the same, and better off hardwiring which makes the removable battery redundant anyway

What i meant was why would someone steal your bell at all?

When a bell is stolen the mac address is blacklisted and won't work, so a waste of time for thieves

I don't think they are thinking so rationally.
Like stealing expensive phones.

Pretty much my thoughts. Seen door bells in Home Bargains for £1.99 that work perfectly. Guess this must be special in some way
Try 3ukring50 to get £40 off ring 2 can or ring pro and other products on the ring website.

Have a look at knowhow reviews on trust pilot, it must be the worst company on there.

Admittedly it will put off some opportunistic thieves but it won't be long before they find a workaround. Walk up with their hood and cap on, hidden face, a quick spray of paint on the lens and its rendered practically useless.

Cold from me. Just can't accept that this is value for money. Plus I assume you pay subscription costs too.

The burglar deterrent aspect of this bell is secondary really, and if one wanted to break into your house i doubt any amount of cameras would even bother them., a piece of insulation tape would suffice to black out the camera on this

For me, the ability to answer the front door when i'm away from home is excellent, i get a lot of courier deliveries and can tell them where to take the parcel. When i;m home it functions just like a normal doorbell
Edited by: "Jace_Phoenix" 10th Dec 2017
Handy for people with mobility problems or had a operation etc, like I'll be with you in a minute just got to get down the stairs. Also to see if it's worth the time & effort answering don't want to have the hassle getting to the door for some salesperson etc. It has more use than just a door bell. Better than just a door chain.
Just invest in a German shepard
Point your Floureon camera at the doorbell.

It's got a free replacement warranty for such occasions and I believe they in effect black list the s/n making the stolen unit useless.
