A £169 doorbell on the outside of your house? I think you should also get a cctv camera to monitor the doorbell.

I love it when people make themselves look stupid with misinformation they happily spread... a crime number being provided to you IS a confirmed report of a theft ... you don't need a 'dibble' to come to your house for that or to give you a 'theft report' (that doesn't exist anywhere other than on The Bill btw!)

Got any medical advice you can share after you saw Holby City at the weekend too??

Have you actually read the details on the ring website?

"Before you do anything else regarding your stolen Ring device, you should report the theft to the police. Follow their instructions regarding what you should do until an officer arrives to take your report."

I am only stating what ring say they require on their own site to meet the criteria for replacement.

Mind you from someone calling themselves number one I should expect that you are of course used to being correct in all matters.

As far as medical advice goes I would say I am qualified to advise that removing a head from a rectum allows clearer vision in most cases.

Pleased with mine and as you get the chime included I think this is a good price. The actual unit is bigger than I expected it to be though so if that really concerns you, you may want to consider the Ring pro.

Such a useful device

Luckily they come with a lifetime guarantee to replace free of charge of it gets stolen, I'm not sure if the full terms and conditions but as I understand it you just have to take reasonable steps to protect it.

depends on the weather

Ip44 isn't weather proof

IP44 = Ingress Protection, Solid Particle Protection 4 (Dust can penetrate but not larger objects), Liquid Ingress Protection 4 (protects against splashes of water). It will be covered against rain, wind will depend on how securely you attach the doorbell to the doorframe. I would personally say its enough protection against average weather. Obviously if a hurricane were to happen your whole house may be at risk of damage so you wouldn’t expect a doorbell to be better protected

I'm not saying the products rubbish etc/commenting on deal.
Just saying IP44 isn't weather proof under the set out definition of being weather proof.
Dust can penetrate and there's plenty of dust outside.
Heavy rain is more than a splash in terms of pressure.

on a side note according to Part P building regs a minimum of IP45 is required but IP65 is recommended for a bathroom so totally agree this wont be 'England' weather proof, rain with a bit of wind blowing and it'll be knackered.

Mine made it through Storm Brian ok so I wouldn't be overly concerned.

Who says (apart from you) that that Harizter is making themselves look stupid ? The way you love 'it' is undermining to say the least.
If you are a rozzer, get back in your dogs pen and learn some manners FFS!
Why the f#c# are you bringing Holby City into this?

Who rung your bell? Maybe you should consider winding your neck in and taking your own advice about having manners! I agree she perhaps was marginally over sarcastic, but what she's saying is right and the original post was not only incorrect, it was also a dig at what I'm guessing is her line of work. Let them sort it out themselves.

Argos are currently doing the £10 voucher for a £100 spend too!!! Voted hot from me.

Same price on Amazon...

Doesn't come with the chime tho I don't think.

I gathered that! But is the any real difference in buying this over v. 1? I already have the v. 1 so was wondering whether it's worthwhile going for the v. 2.

I am with others on here, not sure one of these would last long on my road
£169 for a door bell mmmm how does it actually attach to the door sticky pads?

Love tech-moan, i linked that video in a previous deal and they claimed its not true of the actual product, no idea what they meant as tech-moan gives an honest opinion in his videos

Im going to wait for the nest one to come out, it looks horrible and the fact you cant record without a subscription is a no, going to need about 40 different home subsciptions at this rate.

The v2 is 1080p as opposed to 720p. It also has a removable battery so you can recharge it without taking the thing off the wall.

4 screws to attach it to the wall then there's a security screw which keeps the plastic cover on. Anyone with a screwdriver and a couple of minutes could have it away though, but at least you'd have them on video doing it lol

Ring will replace it for free if it gets stolen. At least that was their policy a few years ago when I made a purchase.

Don't you need to pay subscription fee for this? That's what put me off before. A monthly fee for a doorbell?!

R0adRat2 h, 50 m ago

Mine made it through Storm Brian ok so I wouldn't be overly concerned.

Brian knocked my fence down!

I've been contemplating one of these for a while, the thing putting me off is the delay in someone pressing the button to your phone actually getting the notification. Is this sorted in v2? My wireless router is very close to the front door if that makes any difference. Also I thought you could view a live feed but from the video review above it says you can't do tag unless someone actually rings the door?

Don't forget there's a monthly fee if you want to look back at any footage captured... This was what put me off Ring in the end..

Jesus, same snotty remarks from the last time they went on offer. Good price for those in market for one.

If the connection is good at your ring and at your phone then the notification is pretty instant, it does take a second or 2 for the video feed to appear on your phone though.....and you can view a live feed through the app.
