Is this ring 2 or 1?
This is the original Ring and has been this price for 2 months, excluding the New Year’s Day mid-price.

Pretty sure it's been this price since Xmas in argos
Good bit of kit however they are a little disingenuous regarding its features.
Also you should buy the ring chime product with it. The unit cannot be properly powered with a power supply and used as a CCTV, which it can do but would die in hours due to only using battery power as it only trickle charges the battery as a maximum charge, so its useless for that. Also the WiFi antenna internally is poor so signal is awful even when close to your router.
Having said all that, I still love mine, it's got features rarely found, and so conveniently put together.
I would say get one as you can't go wrong at this price. I have the ring 2 and it's pretty good. This is similar however the camera is a lower resolution. I shouldn't think it would make much difference as the cameras do a great job in daylight and nighttime.
Amazon won't need to price match, they'll be getting the money anyway seeing as they've bought out Ring.
Yes, since learning about Amazon buying Ring I've decided to hold fire and see what they come up with price-wise and Alexa integration wise.
or wait for the Nest Hello
Not very good from what I've seen...
Biggest problem is the massive delay between someone ringing the bell and it actually ringing.

Wow, quite a reaction....

Saw the reduction compared to amazon prices and thought it qas quite good....

Great to get this feedback as I was going to get one, but for close to £100 and the above feedback, will hold fire.

Does anyone know of any other decent product or should i not bother and just spend £10 on a normal doorbell.
wait for the Nest or as other said Amazon product to work with Alexa

Yes, probably get the £10 one from amazon and wait for the new ones to come out.

Many thanks for the tip

Had lots of drop outs and delayed rings. I called ring support and they sent me a free chime extender.
Can’t complain.

I got one as well but it's crap, it's worse than direct connection to router
