should point out the echo show is not available until 27th december in case someone is looking to buy this in time for christmas present
Well, this is really a very good deal. (if you don't have power supply for existing doorbell, don't forget a separate PSU with normal plug. Otherwise, quite easy to install

Oops, sorry! Didn't catch that on the Amazon description.

So basically I don’t need a excising doorbell for this to work

If you’ve a wired doorbell already, you can rewire with the items included in the box.
Without a wired doorbell, you can get an official Plug-In Adapter from Ring for £25 + P&P. You can get unofficial ones from Amazon, but reviews say these get quite hot, which has put me off.

I guess with very you can pay in installments, so that's a bonus....

I have not had one. In addition to my previous comment, I just bough3some doorbell wire and shims for Ring to have it properly aligned. (depends on where and how you are installing it)

Disclaimer, if you have no idea about electricity and DIY, could be better to get electrician. (otherwise it an hour job, depending on cable routing)
And if you are a new customer and open credit account you could make use of £50 discount code that’s floating around making it £99....but its Very so don’t blame me

Sounds interesting, does that mean you need to just plug adapter in socket and connect adapter to doorbell via supplied wire?
Don’t know anything about electrics/transformers so I’m wondering whether the pro can be used as a plug and play if only a socket is required nearby

It is plug and play, as simple as that. Having used both battery and wired Ring doorbells, the extra couple of features from a wired doorbell makes it worth the extra. You can literally draw the boundaries on the picture to choose when to get notified with the Pro. When motion is detected, the Pro shows around 3 seconds before the motion, so you don’t miss what caused the motion activation.

finally got round to fitting my neos smart cam today, working fine so far (bought this as a show 5 deal a few weeks back), notifications visual and audio & 2 way audio, good cheap alternative as I have a doorbell
Used my new customer discount and got it for £139 (including delivery)

Was able to get code via live chat.

Just to confirm, the chime comes with this Pro version?
I have a wired doorbell already, so happy with the wiring option hence looking at the pro.... can I still use the Ring Chime though, or not?

Yes the chime comes in the box with the pro. You can still use the chime. Your original bell box and chime will ring the same time when someone does the doorbell.

Thanks for the quick reply!
Can’t see it mentioned on Amazon so wanted to double check.
Is the Chime worth it? I’ve seen some offers where the chime is also a WiFi extender, but assuming this is different to the chime in the box on this one? Just trying to get the best deal I can naturally

No worries!
I mean the wifi extender is worth it if you need it but it should be okay without it.
Personally the chime is a bit useless if you already have a bell box but you get it with the pro anyway so I cant complain to free things lol

I bought the Ring plug fitted today very easy install
Why chime is listed separately (£20-30)if it comes as part of standard package of Ring Pro?

What's the end like that connects to the door bell for its power, dont fancy drilling a big hole in the UPVC door!

Firstly make sure the wire will reach from plug socket to final door position. Try and make it tight as though it's tacked in place
It comes with a drill bit (masonry) I matched it with a metal bit.
Check which side of the door it will fit on, not where you want it as I had to put mine on the right. Drill hole through the bit should reach all the way through. I then popped the connectors (pic example) together into a drinking straw and poked it through. Fitted the connectors to bell placed the bell so wire was not bent. Marked up mounting screw positions make tiny pilot holes and used the mounting screws included. Put a little silicon in the hole before fixing.

I should've put the wire to the other side of hinges

Cheers for that. Dont really need the wifi extender but was curious. I hate our current built in door bell, sounds

Ah well, the goal was for the camera so I'll just get this, but see how the day goes for other offers on it if any, especially since cyber monday.... can only hope for a further reduction somewhere lol

Just a word of warning for those invested in the Google Home assistant platform. Ring doesn’t integrate video with the google home hub. They tell you it does but what they really mean is that you can use google to check when your doorbell last rang or check the ‘health’ status of your Ring doorbell. You know, the really useful stuff that you want when you purchase a video doorbell.

If you want to stream video to your Google Home hub, or your Chromecast then go for the nest Doorbell instead. Otherwise your stuck with the Amazon show if you want to stream video.

Or wait for an unknown amount of time with hope that Amazon/Ring will release the functionality to allow your Ring doorbell to stream video to your google home hub.

Strangely enough, if you have the Nest doorbell, it streams video just fine to the Amazon echo show, as well as the Google Home Hub.

Very poor show from Ring.
