Seems a good price and perhaps a more secure way of attaching a Ring doorbell to the door, although I don't know if this is actually the case? At least the battery is inside so won't get nicked and will possibly not suffer from the cold of British winters!

Good price
is the the ring doorbell 2?
Edited by: "jinsta" 2nd Oct
This is a very clever idea TBH and i can see it selling very well indeed, especially at this price and with 2 batteries.

Heat added.

Edit: Don't you just love the down voters who haven't got the guts/brains to state why they are voting down? NOT.

No it's the Door View Cam to replace an existing peephole.

It does have the same spec as the Ring Doorbell 2 with it being 1080p though.
What's different compared to the V2?

So no doorbell?

Looks like the specs are same/similar but be aware this is designed to fit into an existing peep hole and not the wall. Plus the batteries are on the INSIDE of the property so won't be subject to the same low temps of the doorbell2 9so will last longer) and, I suspect, will make the unit less attractive to thieves stupid enough to be filmed committing a burglary.

Yeah it has all the features of the Ring Doorbell 2 but for peepholes.

I feel your pain Luckily, being a cheapskate of the highest order I bought a Chinese knock off video doorbell to go with my Ring floodlight cam and Ring battery spotlight cam so this looks like the right time to go full on Ring

Knock detection, perfect! Lol
Decent price, only disadvantage is that when you open the door obviously it won't be able to see and record

Good point. I might keep my existing Chinese knock off video doorbell for that. Plus it gives the visitor a choice

Same price on Amazon and Ring's UK site.

EDIT: Apologies - I hadn't spotted the additional battery (which are £20 on Amazon). Is it necessary?

Also, is there 1-day or 1-week recording if you don't go for the £30 a year 30-day package?

The mixed reviews on Amazon are putting me off. Kudos to those that love their Ring though.

If you don't have an additional battery then the bell wont work while you have the battery on charge,

Does your KO show up within the ring app?
Excellent. I had just ordered the same from Amazon, so managed to cancel and got this deal instead. Same price, but a spare battery!
Anyone know the price of these in store at Costco? Or the Ring 2? Stuff is usually cheaper in store
