Where?

Where?

Pretty much anywhere! I sorted my home with high quality cameras, sensor lights, hard drives for footage etc etc for less than £500
These are good if you have a ring alarm as you can use this as the siren

Cheapest this has been in the last 12 months would be at Costco for £165
Works great. I have the ring alarm system too and some of the features link.

Do you mind if I ask which system? I couldn’t find in that price range. Thanks
I got 2 of these from ebuyer at 179.99 each recently (not for myself), but they put their price up when I went to order a third.
Its been this price on their website for sometime, so I've been holding out for the ebuyer to drop the price again, but your post has prompted me to go for this.

I'm not sure this is true. I was involved in the ring alarm beta test and this is the feature people famously moan about missing. You can turn on the light and start recording when your alarm is fired, just can't just it as an external speaker.
41182196.jpgIf you know if some way to do this (IFTTT?), please let me know.

Reolink when it was on offer. I have 2 cams front of house, 2 cams on the rear, a 2tb hard rive for footage and 3 automatic high powered security lights.

Your completely right. I thought this was so obvious I just assumed I had it linked. It looks like it may be possible with IFTTT but I haven’t looked into it fully yet.
Surely Amazon day is coming soon? Better to wait if you want this

reddit.com/r/Ring/comments/evzfpk/why_cant_the_floodlight_cam_siren_be_configured/?sort=confidence

So supposedly it's something to do with the fact that in some states in the US, external sirens are illegal. Ring already localises some features though so we'll have to just wait for them to do this. The request for this function in the UK had been logged with support many times.

No, you cannot use these as a siren with the alarm.

The Ring Floodlight Cam has floodlights, camera, two-way audio, siren and person detection all built into a single unit.

I have 5MP Reolink cameras myself and although mine record audio, they do not have two-way talk, a siren or person detection. I don’t even bother turning on push notifications for my Reolink cameras because there are so many false notifications from bugs, shadows, reflections, cats, foxes and rain.

My Ring Pro doorbell (not the floodlight camera I know, but uses the same software) has person detection on and I get absolutely zero false notifications.

Although CCTV is good, these Ring devices including the cloud subscription which is extremely reasonable offer great value for those wanting an all in one single device.
