Scorching! Was looking to purchase to compliment my spotlight cams
How long does a battery last in reality?

Tempted, but £30 a year sub kills it a touch for me. If it had an SD option...
Can I use this just on its own as a video camera say with an ordinary door bell?
Wish they’d put the Nest Cams up on a deal but with Google owning them zero chance

Been looking for something that ticks all boxes nothing does...
bargain
Ring is good, we have the doorbell so this pairs nicely - the 30 quid a year sub is worth it for the video. Caught someone nicking next door parcel on ours after doing a delivery to us.

This can go at the back and share the sub

Same here, I have several so the sub becomes worth it. I also captured an amazon delivery guy nicking a previously delivered parcel only for him to then spot the camera and promptly return the parcel to the porch, result!
This one or Arlo Q (priced at £99 prime deal) which has 7 day free cloud storage ? Please advice.
Looks like you can only buy one per account which is a bit pants as im after 2!

After reading the title I'm wondering what you are supposed to do with it!

I have yi cameras, but would like something like this to avoid a USB cable through the wall, or window. They take MicroSD and are otherwise fantastic.

Maybe one of those and an enormous power pack in a weatherproof box? Hmm...

Thanks. Yes I am looking for indoor only. Both Ring stick up and Arlo Q priced similarly (Prime day). Ring needs annual subscription. Arlo does not. I am happy that Arlo is wired. Am I missing something by chosing Arlo Q over Ring Stickup ?

SD in camera that can be easily stolen in case of burglary? Don't see much sense.
I'm fully invested in the ring ecosystem. It's not perfect but it's highly highly recommend getting wired versions of all their products as you get better motion detection, longer recordings and a buffer so if it detects something you get video a few seconds before it happened. Otherwise you get the back of people's heads etc.

For real? Lol, you'd need a screwdriver, all while the camera is recording and sending me moving pictures of your face. That's if you bring a ladder too. C'mon, be sensible - no criminal is going to steal your micro SD card. If they do, then they'd steal the camera too. Which cloud or not, is the same net effect.

FWIW the Yi cameras send videos to your phone without a card or online sub too.

Think you're missing the point, if they steal the camera but its in the cloud you still have the footage, which is the only thing this camera is for.
If they steal the camera and it has SD, you have 0 evidence of the theft.

No, I get clips sent to my phone to keep forever. There we go.
Plus they have to get ladders and a screwdriver. Good luck to them!
You CAN order 2 per account - it allows you to order 1 x white one and 1 x black one for the knock down price - if you need 2 :-)

This depends on where the camera is installed.
Sending directly to phone is good, but only if it is in my hands and I'm being watching how the house is robbed. In all other cases remote location of DVR (well, NVR) is far more secure.

Well you can argue that about pretty much any installation if you try hard enough.

Just like no system is any good if the thief has a mask on, eh?
